Good fun - also on bass

I've used this on my board for a couple of months now. It's a lot of fun with pretty much every type of reverb, you can think of. There is an endless tweakability - just dive in.
Might be a little "thin" sound-wise for some bassplayers, and of course it is totally and completely digital. But for me it works greatly!

Super Reverb Pedal

Ich habe seit langem überlegt von meinen Boss RV 6 zu einem Strymon Big sky zu wechseln. Da ich wenn ich E Git spiele gerne mehrere Reverb Sounds nutze.
Da mir aber der Big Sky zu teuer ist, habe ich mich nach alternativen umgeschaut.

Sound:
Reverb:
Ich bin mit dem Sound sehr zufrieden. Mir gefällt der Room, Hall, Non linear Reverb sehr gut.
Delay:
Ich konnte meinen DD7 ersetzen, da man mit dem RV 500 auch einen Delay einstellen kann. Die Geschwindigkeit Tape ich mit einen externen Tap ein und aktiviere den Delay mit der Taste Tape/CTL.

Bedienung:
Die Bedienung ist relativ instinktiv. Habe das Handbuch drotzdem gelesen um zu verstehen was die Unterschiedlichen Parameter bewirken die man Einstellen kann.
Es besteht die Möglichkeit per USB mit einem Editor den Sound Einzustellen. Ist am Anfang ganz Sinnvoll wenn man noch am ausprobieren ist.
(Empfehle ich aber nicht während man live spielt, da durch die USB Verbindung Geräusche auftreten.

Ich hätte mir gewünscht das ein Netzteil mitgeliefert wird. Deshalb 1 Stern Abzug bei Verarbeitung.

Ich habe den Kauf nicht bereut und bin sehr zufrieden, da ich jetzt ein Pedal für Reverb und Delay habe.

C'est une fantastique pédale de reverb!
La qualité est sensible dès le déballage : packaging classieux, matériaux de fabrication à l'aspect irréprochable, peinture métallisée du plus bel effet, potentiomètres de grande qualité... tout cela respire le haut de gamme et la fiabilité. On est en confiance!
Une fois branchée au secteur, l'afficheur de la pédale est de bonne taille, très lisible. Le paramétrage est complet et permet de personnaliser un grand nombre d'items (accès aux presets, utilisation du troisième footswitch, type d'affichage, superposition d'effets....) L'accès aux menus plutôt simple et linéaire. On sait où l'on va. Tous les termes sont explicites, les réglages aisés...
De par son aspect moderne et la présence de l'écran, on ne peut pas se tromper sur la nature du matériel : c'est du numérique! Mais... n'en déplaise aux défenseurs de l'analogique : c'est du numérique qui défonce bien des pédales analog-vintages vendues bien plus chères parce qu'elles sont rayées...
Les sons qui émanent de cette RV-500 sont vraiment de très très bonne qualité. Certains réglages vous paraîtront un peu chimiques, certes, mais, la pédale en offre tellement qu'on fera l'impasse sur ce qui plaît moins et on se concentrera sur les modes qui nous conviennent le mieux... et ça en fera déjà énormément à utiliser! Avec un réglage de l'effet allant de 0 à 10 secondes, l'ajout possible de modulations, l'égalisation aisée de l'effet ainsi que l'ajout de filtres passe-haut ou passe-bas, l'éventail des possibilités est vaste entre un effet discret et une reverb spatiale et planante...
L'ajout possible, sur chaque preset, d'un simple delay avec réglage de la rythmique, du nombre de répétitions, de l'atténuation... est un vrai plus. Ce delay se superpose à la reverb (dans l'ordre Delay --> Reverb) et rend le son encore plus ample.
Dernier point : la puissance des processeurs d'effets permet de programmer deux reverb qui peuvent s'enclencher simultanément.... ce qui laisse le champ libre à la créativité et génère des effets puissants, voire bizarroïdes, hyper réalistes et de grande qualité.

Je suis conquis et j'achèterai sans nul doute le delay DD-500 qui complète la gamme Boss!

É um reverb bastante versátil. Ponderei algum tempo se havia de comprar este ou o Strymon BigSky mas a mim faz-me diferença no budget + ou - 150€ e foi por isso que o escolhi, sendo os 2 reverbs com mais potencial sem ir para valores astronómicos.
A unica coisa que deixa mais critico é o facto de ter muitas caracteristicas, o que é bom, mas tem um contra...o tempo de volta de menus. De resto o reverb tem qualidade, pode ser controlado via cc por midi, tem um delay incluido, pode-se usar 2 reverbs em simultaneo em serie ou paralelo, escolher se os outputs um para cada reverb, (quando em simultaneo) ou mix, a mistura dos 2 e muito mais. Estas funções são apenas a superficie. Tenho vindo a perceber com o tempo que ter um controlador midi é bastante prático para não mergulhar no pequeno ecrã a transbordar funcionabilidades. Também devido à profundidade de opções, demora um pouco mais a perceber os pequenos detalhes que podem fazer bastante diferença como EQs, Damps etc. Integra-se facilmente com o DAW atraves de usb sem problemas.
Uma coisa que não aprecio na Boss/Roland é o facto de darem pouca atenção a atualizações de firmware e até criar um vst pela praticidade que oferece.
Apesar de tudo tem bastante utilidade e para mim valeu a pena.
Pena não trazer a fonte de alimentação incluida. Comprei a Thomann NT 0910 AC/PSA que ajusta-se perfeitamente.
