Does not have the warmth of the RE -201 or even RE-20 which is the closest yet.
Should have made the tone control bass and treble.

Wow, the sound !
This is a real Roland Space Echo bundled into the pedalboard friendly standard BOSS enclosure. All main features from the RE-201 are there, accessible at the touch of a knob, without fuss and unneeded gadgets. And the sound is there too: lush echo and reverbs, immediate inspiration !
And then there is the little plus, some less intuitive features hidden from the front pannel and configurable at startup, like expression pedal parameter mapping. Of course, the build quality is top notch, the pedal feels indestructible.
The downside is the short user manual: i would like to know how the repeat rate knob relates to the tap tempo mode. And the twist function, which sounds meh, but that's not the main selling point of this little gem.

Das Space Echo klingt tadellos gut und kann sehr viele feine Abstufungen der verschiedenen Echo-Effektmuster liefern.
Die Qualität bei Verarbeitung und das Design ist bosstypisch tadellos.

Einzig die Bedienung der 1000 Möglichkeiten ist schon wuselig und hat bei mir zu Folge, dass ich nur ein zwei Effekttmuster nutze und den Rest nur mal angetestet habe. Spiele halt lieber Gitarre als an Knöpfen zu drehen. Für Soundtüftler sicher eine Oase der Inspiration. Für mich mit den Sounds die ich nutze ein klasse Delay/Reverbpedal. Erinnert mich sehr an mein RV-3, nur dass das etwas einfacher zu bedienen ist, wenn auch der Vergleich bei den immensen Möglichkeiten des Space Echo etwas hinkt. :-)
