The Boss ME-20 is, in practical terms, the entry-level model of the Bossmultieffektprozessoren. With the durchauchaus good price you have to reckon with smeared, processed is the part, as always with Boss, of course, top. The operation is, when one the turn out once, childlike. I now go to the categories from which one effect can always be active at the same time.
OD / DS: Here I see the greatest weaknesses of the Me-20. The trombone sounds more colder digital than warm and lively, with the equalizer (low, low-mid, high-mid, high) one can pick up some things here, but also not achieve the best puristic results.
Modulation: This is the best section of the ME-20. Chorus, flanger, phaser, rotary and tremolo all sound pretty good and in terms of price, the ME-20 is here price-performance-technically very far forward.
Delay: This slightly smaller section makes their service quite good, too bad that you can not use the reverb and delay at the same time.
Wah Wah / Volume Pedal: Plays pleasantly and sounds good.
Patchmode: In this mode you can save your presets and with a kick-off. Goes fast and easy!
The ME-20 also has an exact tuner, which is easy to call up by pressing OD / DS and MODULATION at the same time. The ME-20 is therefore recommendable to anyone who wants for a little money versatile performance and the through sound good sound.
