one of the best on this price range
Tiago Afonso, 21.05.2019
I've had this amp for about 6 months now and I use it mainly for practice and home use.
This is a great amp on it's own, the sound is good and pretty loud for a 40 watt amp, even when I play with my band I've never needed to turn the volume knob all the way. Also the fact that it's stereo is a big advantage on this price range. It comes with more than enough effects for you to play with. The interface is simple and straightforward, but it really shines when you connect it to your computer via USB, there you can make your own presets and save them on the amp, one for each voice, and it also becomes a great recording tool, with a nice audio quality.

-stereo sound
-many effects and voices
-pc connectivity
-light weight, but well built
-works great on clean to mildly gainy sounds
-mp3 line in for playing over backing tracks and such

- It doesn't take very well to high gain levels, the sound starts to crackle up a bit. I do not recommend it for heavy metal players (maybe see boss katana instead if that's your case)
- the recording companion software it comes with is way too complicated for a beginner

Good amp
LielaisPapus, 31.05.2020
So i have been using it for about a year, and i absolutly love it. Im going to try to describe all the pros and cons.
Pros: Very loud, very clean amp. Comes with Pre Sonus studio one 4, which im not going to lie is good for beginers, but is bad for music making. But amp ir self has blackstar insider which gives more options when playing guitar, my favourite feature - online community, find sounds other people have found. Lots of effects.
Cons - amp its self has low EQ but not a big problem when using with other DAWS. Not gonna lie - had some problems with using it as audio interface, quality - of course cant be clear, but with some work and time you can find good tone and use it for recording guitar. Its pretty big, which is a problem when bringing it to jam with friends.

Overall i can say - perfect home practice amp, really good, i even use it for listening to music, for 200$ recomended.

great amp

it's a great amp for the price. there are a lot of good features. you don't need to buy any pedals to have chorus, reverb, overdrive,...
the only flaw is that you can't adjust the effects precisely.

Very good for home practice on a budget
LiverG, 11.12.2018
Let me say that this is my first amp, so I don't have anything to compare it to. So now that this is out of the way, I am very satisfied with this amp. It's really loud, I live in an apartment in the city and I never go above ~25-30% of the volume knob, so I would assume it'd work decent for people jamming in a garage or something of the sort.
Its effects range is very wide and can take care of a beginner's need for certain.
Also, it's range of different tones is really handy too.
If there's one thing I would have to list as a negative, that'd be the lack of EQ. There IS an EQ knob, their patented ISF EQing solution, but I don't think it offers a lot of variety to your tone on its own, or as much as a proper EQ would.
I was between this and Boss' Katana. No particular reason I chose this one over the other but I don't regret my decision, although I want to get my hands on that one too at some point.
