Absolutely top price / performance ratio

UweJ, 12.01.2010
I have long hesitated and led me zig piano libraries to good taste. Some sound good, but the gameplay / dynamics behavior is rather modest, others sound too "thin" and with some everything is correct, but they did not fit into my budget.

Because of the massive price reduction and really only positive experiences, I have then decided for galaxy II. The decision was right! The sound is very good and the possibilities for sound and dynamic tuning are enormous. The gameplay was right at the first attempt. If you still have problems, you can customize your playing habits and your keyboard.

Absolutely everything can be switched on and off, edited and saved. For each instrument there are already prefabricated, individually matched, presets for different application areas. Example: A solo piano must sound different from a pianosound, which should be harmoniously integrated into the mix with other instruments. Simply select the corresponding preset and you have immediately a good basis for the further work in the DAW. class!

Very handy, I also find that you can load the instruments in different "sample-built". So you only load what you really need and save resources. The resource hunger I would (in comparison to other piano VST) in the middle to upper thirds settle. So no exaggerated vollauslasung, but in the same time operation of other resource-eating VST in the DAW it becomes tight.

A nice bonus are also the "special sounds", which have nothing to do with a demanding piano library. Anyone who works with DAW and many VST plugins can do without. Who uses galaxy II however as a standalone version, quasi as pure digitalpiano alternative, gets here still zig synth-sounds, pads, streicher, etc. to it. By the way, after the installation, the update is the same on the galaxy website.

Conclusion: absolute purchase recommendation. The current price / performance ratio is unbeatable.

Supplement:
My rating was based on the price reduction of 119, - eur. Now (april 2010) there is the new optimized contact4 version, which is offered again at the full price.

My best flute sound

Thomas108, 16.06.2010
I immediately accessed when Galaxy II became cheaper. - And was not disappointed! - good samples, gorgeous resonance sounds, pedal sounds - for the one who needs it, cover on, compressor in, hall slightly less, cover too. Finished.

Everything is intuitive, and very flexible. With a "heat regulator" you can also conjure a "real grand piano" into the living room with a bit cooler sounding loudspeakers.

Gladly I also in connection with other instruments the stereo spreading regulator (what a word ?!) rather back in the direction of mono. Turning to 0 (mono), however, brings unpleasant, non-portable phase shifts.

The compressor works very pleasant, noiseless and warm to pressure, 2 controllable Hall types are sufficient and pleasant. The concert hall can also serve very well for different movie scenarios in the case of a stronger attitude in connection with the audience mode (whether the piano is heard by the pianist or the audience).

I'm going to play a little more piano ...
