Great for what it is
Douglas P, 10.01.2014
I bought this one for a pastime cover band project. We use it for 4 singer mics, 1 keyboard, 1 acoustic guitar.
The compact size is convenient. The operation is great despite the small size. Only the turn-n-push knob for the internal FX is not ideal.
There is a good amount of features. The compressor has deemed itself very helpful for us, as we have 3 loud singers and one weak singer who does not pay attention to her proximity to the mic. The internal FX is also a plus if you need a subtle atmosphere to the mix. The USB connection is useless to me. I would think that Behringer would use the same technology as the U-Control which has virtually no latency. This however does have latency which I can't seem to alleviate. But we only need it as a live mixer so no big loss there.
The sound is quite good though not very transparent. I would have to try out the mixer on another PA to see who's the culprit of that. Still pretty clean, no overbearing distortion. The device also seems to keep feedback under control for the most part.
The workmanship seems pretty good as well. I have a Eurorack from around 2003 - man was that crappy. This one seems to hold up quite well. We've been practicing with it every week for around a year. We also don't leave it lying around, i.e. we unpack it and plug in everything for practice and unplug it all and put it away after practice. Nothing seems to be coming loose. It's been through about 10 gigs and a couple karaoke parties, even one on the beach (yes, with sand) and everything still works like new. Only thing about the quality is the mains adapter - it gets hella hot. I mean literally so that you can hardly hold it.
Altogether I am / we are very happy with it.

Especially used for home karaoke and fun moments!
T.J., 18.02.2021
Prio we had the cheap Behringer karaoke set, but this didn't give us the best quality. A lot of unwanted noise. Since we do like a karaoke from time to time, we purchased this set.
It gives a far better result, the only bad sound coming out of it is my voice.
I had to check on the internet how to wire it in order to have the correct set-up, but once this was done, it worked perfectly.
Easy to use, easy to change settings, add micros, add a sound source etcetera.
Only thing missing for me, is an on/off button, now it is just unplugging the power source to shut it down.
Overall really happy with this!

Lots of features and good sound quality
Almeida, 02.03.2015
This unit is very small and light and it sounds very good for the price you pay. It has four mic/line level mono input channels with both balanced XLR and 6.3mm jack connections. Each one of those four channels have dedicated Compressor, Gain, Volume, Bal (left right balance), Fx (level of effect) and 3 band EQ. The remaining eight input channels are line level only and work as pairs (like a stereo channel with separated jacks for the right and left), where each pair shares controls for Bal, Fx and Level, so, no EQ or Comp.
The effects quality is very good but you are limited to use the same effect for every channel, however you can choose the amount of effect each channel uses.
It works as a stereo (two channel) USB interface. Paired with a good quality DAW software and a fast enough computer, you can achieve very good results. You can use the Bal controls to separate tracks when recording (for example, send the voice to the right channel and all the other stuff to the left channel in order to do a post processing in the DAW software).
There are two (left and right) line level 6.3mm jack balanced outputs, two (left and right) unbalanced Control outputs for monitoring, headphone output as well as other connections.
It also has 48V phantom power common for all the XLR inputs. The phantom switch turns on and off the 48V power for all channels. If you have some equipment that may be damaged by the phantom power, you cannot connect it at the same time with a phantom operated device.
In conclusion it has some limitations but it sounds very good, is extremely versatile, and complete for such a small light and cheap equipment

I am very happy
GRRecords, 14.12.2017
I bought this mixer almost year ago and I am very happy about it. It works perfect and this Xenyx generation looks very well. Design is very good and steel corpus is smooth.
I bought for live performances with duet (synthesizer + guitar + vocals and aux (coumpter)) and it is great solution for me. Tone and sound is clean.
I choose it because it has integrated effects and of course price was very good. Plus it is small and easy to carry.
Preamps are very good also. I just used it as preamp for my vocals and all instruments in my home studio. I can send mixed song where I used it.
Minus could be that there is not integrated electric supply. This external electric supply is good but always there is problems with carrying, except if you have some special cases for it. But it is normal as all of these small-size mixers.
Yes, and sometimes I have to play in gigs with subwoofers, so there is not special line out for subs, but that's why I have another one mixer - Xenyx 2222 Usb.
Otherwise I can recommend it definitely, it works and it will work for a long time. I have very good experience with Behringer equipment.
