Great item, superb possibilities
29.10.2016
Considering similar alternatives in the market, my opinion is that PB1000 pedalboard is by far the best choice.

- The construction is quite nice and strong.

- Extended room until 12 BOSS or Behringer effect pedal types.

- Two layers of foam (12 pieces), being 6 pieces immediately adaptable for the above mentioned pedal types. The other 6 pieces are full foam pieces but with a pre-cut for the same pedal types. It means we can use them to make personalised molds for any other pedal type.

- It comes with all the cabling that we'll need for almost rig setups (the cables are not the best ones in the market, but they will do the job).

- Perfect connections, not adding any extra noise. Even the power supply does not add noise, as some web reviews says. I did compare by using the original power supply and the Boss/Roland PSA230S. Both were similar, not inducing any extra noise.

- Having two independent Outputs, it permits twice more possibilities for your rig setup.

My current rig setup is composed by Digitech Whammy V5, Vox Big Bad Wah, Boss CS-3+NS-2+FB-2+MT-2, Boss FS-6 switch. All those inside PB1000, and I still have extra room for a tuner and for one more Boss pedal, in horizontal position.

Then I have an external multi-effect board, running all modulation effects and interacting with PB1000 (once again, it is great to have two independent outputs).

So, if you want a standard pedalboard box with a lot of possibilities to make a personalised rig setup, Behringer PB1000 is the right and the best choice for you.

I'm pretty happy with mine and I fully recommend it.

Not bad

This is a good concept and it ticks a lot of boxes as a pedal board but it is quite expensive and I feel could have come with a few more bits and pieces for the money

It is sturdy and well made. I've had mine quite a while now and it has been to numerous gigs and rehearsals and it has protected my pedals and not suffered any damage. Laying out the board with Boss sized pedals is easy and reconfiguring the board with those pedal types is easy too. I hate velcro and not needing to use that is a big plus. Setting up at a gig is very quick, just take the lid off, pug in guitar, amp an power and off you go. Takes about 30 seconds.

Now onto the niggles. What is annoying is that Behringer could have easily avoided most of these.
Number of in/out jack pairs. There are 3 x 6.3mm jack pairs, one pair on one side and two on the other. Why 3? Hardly anyone uses 3 pairs. Most people use 2 or 4.
Support for Amp FX Loops. As there are only 3 jack pairs and one 9V power socket you have to run some cables direct to the pedals if you want an FX loop with its own power. Not a big deal perhaps but there is space for more in/outs at the top of the board so this could easily have been accomodated.
Spare foam pads. Some spare foam pads with no cutouts would have allowed users to customise the layout more and/or support different shaped pedals without cutting up the pre-formed "Boss" shape pads or buying more foam.
Cables. The supplied patch cables are by no means top of the range but they do the job however having a few more would have helped. Same with the power daisy chain - a few more power cable options would have been nice.
Wall wart. This came with European plug on it rather than UK (to be fair I believe Thomann now supply adapters)

If your intention is to use Boss sized pedals all in front of the amp then there isn't much wrong with this board. If you want to use FX loops and especially different shaped pedals etc it becomes less attractive. The lack of in/outs is baffling really as there is space for more. Also I doubt it would have cost Behringer much at all to provide some spare foam pads and a few more cables to massively improve the flexibility.

So a good concept let down by lack of in/outs to support commonly found cabling arrangments and penny pinching on the accessories
