Behringer DJX 750

Matthias H., 08.10.2009
DJ Mixers are always such a thing that some people love them, or want to want certain Feautures or prefer certain brands and see them as the tool and toys for DJs. Others, on the other hand, use and see it merely as an object of use with respective utility. For example, I belong to this group.

A DJ Mixer must take a lot in return to the PA Mixer, and I mean now not the transport. Therefore, I see a DJ mixer as a kind of consumable, such as a light bulb eg

It should be bought from the outset new, above all be favorable, and the equipment features I need, no more and no less. If he then breaks down after years, he has done his service, and can be made over the Internet as a defect to hobbyists again to some money, or simply to the disposal. No fader and potentiometer exchange, spare parts buy etc. In my opinion the whole financial is not worth it and costs in the end more than for example a new mixer to buy.

Except here, of course, the lovers of some certain DJ mixer brands. They will take care of their babies, of course.

That's why my eye fell on the newly released DJX750. I had a lot of work with the mixer for the Behringer godfather, found him from the look, service and equipment super, but unfortunately too expensive, so I did not want to buy it. The Behringer DJX750 came just right. A lean look, almost identical features and a mad price.

Personally, I am also a fan of certain brands, and I prefer some more and other less, including products from Behringer. Some have turned out to be No Go, but on the other hand, there are also true gloss products from this company which proved to be outstanding. The Behringer Virtualizer DSP 2024P Multieffektprozessor would be mentioned here for example.

This mixer is again such a product where basically everything is right. Very clean processing, above average equipment, a very biting 3 Bandkill equalizer (which is almost in DJ Mixers almost is :-) and great effects.

The operation of the effect section and the Beatcounter is to be used, the Beatcounter for me is only a nice play by the way. The effects are really good, only the handling somewhat needed and relatively extensive. Fader is pleasantly light, the talkover is super, and the impressive number of inputs and outputs leaves nothing to be desired. The only downforce would be a master output in the form of two balanced XLR plugs rather than the unsymmetrical RCA jacks.

But all in all a great part to the bargain price.

Price & performance are in good relationship to each other.

Cheap - not good!

PFJ, 01.02.2012
We have the Behringer DJX750 now about one year and are with this actually rather dissatisfied. For financial reasons, we had opted for the DJX750 at that time, since he has a lot to offer for a small purse.
Today we think differently.

# Negative:

- The built-in effect section is equipped with numerous effects; These are however very uncomfortable to use and do not sound really nice.
- On the "oh so great" beat-counter one need to put no value at all; It simply does not work.
- fader resistance? None. They behave more like little Bambi on the ice. Say: Every small touch has a great rash; Therefore, minimal change requests are unrealisable. The same with the poties.
- That the nice synchronized gentleman in the product video (see above) the DJX750 as "very low noise", we can not understand. He even rushes very clearly.
- The microphone input should not be used too often, as this results in fast feedback - always with the lowest gain and EQ.

# Postive:

- Price. He is cheap. And for this money you get no better / other 4-channel mixer.

# Conclusion:

Admittedly, it is a well-suited product for beginners / hobbyists / occasional DJs and the like; Ideal for DJing. The slightly more demanding customer will certainly not be happy with the DJX750!

DJing has rather murky origins, and there are many people who claim to have been the first to mix two records together.
