Better than you think at the price!
Househunter, 28.12.2009
Have the DDM 4000 now for about 10 weeks in possession and write something about my experience.

Service:
I am very satisfied with the operation of the pots and faders and buttons. Everything has its place and can be operated directly and safely even without looking. There have been many thoughts about the everyday life of a DJ at the mixer and there is absolutely no point where I would say that it would have been better to do so. Until maybe the headphone connection, which sits in the middle right and thus disturbs the cable of the headphone from time to time (but you can get used to it).

In the beginning it is for a "non-professional" a lot of buttons and features. But thanks to the super compact and informative manual which covers about 30 pages you can find out in seconds which button is for what.

features:
The DDM 4000 abounds with features. But the two separate Effeckt units are just amazing. The effects are Qualitatively very well done and can be varied. When you start combining two different effects that sounds really great!

Special feature: Each effect can be applied optionally only to the highs, mids or lows. For example, this is very good for the echo, because you rarely want the bass to have an echo effect as well. Special features are also the kill buttons next to the pots. which always find use and a sampler area, where you can record live samples and play them at the right time.

It should also be noted that one can increase the bass and / or treble at the touch of a button on the headphones. This brings many advantages in beatmatching.

sound:
The sound of the DDM 4000 is not nice

Unbeatably cheap and yet qualitatively satisfactory
DJ-Reiner, 14.12.2009
So far, I have used the Behringer desk twice and I am very satisfied. Commissioning is very easy. With the available connections on the back you have various possibilities an output signal (1 x XLR OUT plus 1 x subwoofer XLR OUT, 1 x cinch out - both master A, as well as 1 x Cinch out as separately controllable master B, 1 x Record out as well a digital output) ready to provide, the inputs are also numerous (4 känale with two switchable cinch in, one of which in turn can be set by switch on phono or line, and 2 x XLR MIC). In addition, the console can be controlled or controlled via Midi DIN.

For a halfway experienced DJ or home user who has ever worked with mixing consoles, the first time operation is absolutely no problem. The sections are clearly arranged and normally operable. The effect section can also be used immediately if you work with Chanel 1 and Chanel 2.

The sound was subjectively very good in both uses. However, the whole class of the lecture opens up either by trying out or studying the very good and not too long manual. For example, the frequency range of the manual three-band equalizer can be set and stored on the display for personal preference, or the sensitivity of the talkover for the microphone or the parameters of the effects, etc.

I'm really excited about the crossfader's kill feature. For example, when crossfading or mixing from left to right, you can leave the bass of the left channel alone and only take over the mid and high frequencies of the right channel. This saves some turning at the EQs. If you want to get a complete overview of the features, you should download the instruction manual here. I have only been able to provide a small outline here, everything else would go beyond the scope.

The processing seems to me after the first impression passable and robust. At the beginning, the ease of the faders and the feeling when pressing the keys were a little strange, but you get used to it quickly.

There is really nothing that I have to complain about this mixer.
