Used mainly as foldback monitors in church and also as a small portable PA for the small choir, the sound from speakers get positive comments from the techincal guys in venues where they are used.

The smaller size and lighter weight than our existing 10" older Alto speakers are proving to be beneficial.

Unbeatable for the price

I bought these miniature speakers because I was looking for small but powerful monitors that still did not get me on the begging stick. It was mainly about the smallest to small / medium sound with predominantly acoustic music (vocal ensemble, jazz quartet, music cabaret, ...) and occasions where you just suspect a miniature cutlery throws in the trunk, because you do not know what comes.

The operation requires no instructions. Wiring, turning on, turning up, grinning. Very clear and idiot-proof. The workmanship makes a rock solid and robust impression, however, the plastic surface is inclined to remind one of the too vehement treatment the next day. Keeping the boxes in brand new condition beyond the first day is likely to be difficult to impossible, but that does not detract from the function.

The sound is meaningless in the most positive sense. What you send in is made loud and radiated, and that's it. I had no problems with feedback on stage. Before I could put the boxes into the first feedback, it was already so bizarre that I could count on very calming GbF reserves.

Small special application: The two inputs make it possible to play back the normal monitoring via one of them, while the other one is available to the keyboardist as personal monitor.

Out of interest I abused the box sometimes as a bass combo to the sample. This works very well, if it is not just about the great metal combo. No unrestricted species-appropriate attitude, but not only in absolute emergency quite suitable.

It may well be that there are solutions that are higher quality. However, I do not miss anything that would be worth spending much more money on. At this price, the Alto 208 is really unbeatable.
