The flagship with that certain something

As Allen & Heath's flagship analogue DJ mixer with a total of six channels, two independent send and return paths, and an excellent sound, the Xone 92 is the perfect centrepiece of any professional DJ setup. The four-band structure of the EQ sections is particularly eye-catching, allowing for even more precise sound shaping in live sets compared to the competition. The two independent filters also allow combinations of filter settings to be used. They even have an LFO each for automated filter manipulation. In addition to the excellent Allen & Heath sound, the unit thus combines all of the superb features of the Xone series while also offering a few extras.

Industry standard, flagship, all-rounder

The Xone 92 can serve as the main DJ system for a professional large-room setup. The unit combines and handles all the elements of a DJ setup. Not only is the four-band EQ ideal for this, the two stereo send and return paths with their own channel strips also offer a variety of possibilities. As far as the mixer's outputs are concerned, all of the industry standards are covered, which means that the unit can be integrated into any professional sound system without any problems. A second mix output, which can be controlled independently of the master, offers the additional option of integrating another system into the setup - to provide sound for a second floor for example.

The mixer for the greats

Thanks to its lavish range of functions and features, the Xone 92 can be considered a mixer for all occasions. Especially for experienced DJs, this enormous range of functions opens up completely new possibilities. As the heart of a DJ setup, the mixer adapts perfectly to the DJ's needs, making the Xone 92 the ideal candidate for a permanently installed mixer in a club system. The reasons for this include the two additional channels, which can not only serve as microphone tracks with channel strips but also enable the integration of external effects units. Thanks to its completely analogue design and the resulting warm sound, the Xone 92 is also suitable for vinyl DJs thanks to its potential to create the perfect analogue DJ experience.

About Allen & Heath

Allen & Heath started building mixing consoles in London in 1969 and made a name for themselves hand-building mixers for some of the greatest bands of the era, such as Pink Floyd. Since 2014, Allen & Heath has been part of the Audiotonix Group, which in turn is managed by the company Electra Partners. Allen & Heath's headquarters are in Penryn, Cornwall (UK), where production takes place, alongside a second factory in China. The British firm is known for numerous innovations, including the development of modular console designs as well as their subsequent integration into MIDI environments. Today, Allen & Heath offer a wide range of products in almost every field of audio engineering - from the small six-channel ZED-6 mixing console to the full-scale dLive Pro Touring System.

Warm sound and numerous features

With its typically warm Allen & Heath sound and unique range of features, the Xone 92 can easily join the ranks of high-end club mixers. Some features, however, are particularly eye-catching: The new intelligent cues now allow channels to be previewed with and without EQ processing in order for even more precise adjustments to be made to the relevant channel. The classic Allen & Heath filters also stand out not only for their excellent sound, they also each have their own LFO with tap-tempo function, which provides even more creative freedom during performances. For each channel, two independent gain controls are available for the two AUX inputs, so that volume differences are avoided when changing inputs.

Great Reliable Quality Mixer

Have used the Xone 92 mixer several times at different venues including a radio station who's primary studio audio was routed via one of these units which ran 24/7. So I know the product well.
The faders feel beautiful and glide easily which is great for manual music override when speaking. The 2 mic inputs have very good and comprehensive tone controls. I particularly like the feature of being able to leave the mic switched on then using the fader on each mic channel to open or close the mic.
I like mixing through beats whilst blending in the filters which is another great feature. There are plenty of channels including Aux inputs, FX send / return and booth out. There are 2 main outputs via XLR sockets and another 2 via 1/4 inch jacks. Each has it's own volume control on the front panel. Overall I really like the look of this product. I like the fact that the cross fader can be easily replaced. It gets a big thumbs up from me

Very intuitive, you can definitely do more than you can think of with it.

- multiple use;
- fast reaction to absolutely any touch;
- very durable even if years have passed and multiple uses still look and keep like new;
- both for beginners and professionals;

I would definitely recommend it without a doubt.

Great classic from A&H. Running it with 2 x Xone K2 controllers and Traktor Pro. Given that the mixer is analogue, the user has lots of possibilities to use various types of gear to take the performance to the next level. I very much appreciate the two aux channels with which I am free to connect gear for effects. Looking at buying guitar pedals for reverb and delay from Boss. The mixer has a solid and robust feel, almost like a high-tech toy from the 90's. Worked super so far. Only downsides are the small spaces between the EQ-knobs and also the faders, which could be more firm in their movement.

A
Great mixer for house/techno
Anonymous 17.08.2015
Bought this mixer a year ago. I've been pretty happy with it. Definetly the best mixer I've owned. Nowadays I play a lot of techno, house and disco and this is really great for it. If you play hip-hop I wouldn't really buy this mixer. The crossfadder cuts ok, but there's a weird popping noise when you cut. I'm not sure if it's in all the mixers or just mine. My line faders started bleeding within the first year. I sent the mixer back for repair and the line faders got repaired but the popping remains even though I mentioned about it. Thus I'm not sure if it's a feature of the mixer. If I'd be recording scratches for an album this wouldn't really do. For playing techno and house this mixer is great. 4-band eq really gives you much more freedom to experiment with your mixes. Sound quality of the mixer is great compared to my previous mixers. Filters are a lot of fun and dont sound like toys as with the Pioneer filters. Two microphone ins is a good feature and the mixer has 4-band eq for them as well. The channel gains don't cut the music 100% when cut so that's not something I'm really fond of but apparently it's by purpose also and you should jsut use them to trim and not fade music out or augment your volume. Good outputs. The smaller headphone in jack is also a bit wobbly, but maybe that's just how those things are in general.
