Using it for home studio recordings, jamming with friends and guitar lessons.

-Very solid made, has nice appearance, doesn't occupy much space.

-Super compatible, no need for drivers (using it with Mac OS Sierra & Logic Pro X).

-Very useful set of 3 switches, that easily redirect your signal between main/usb/monitors.

-Has all the send/return/rca inputs you would expect from a complete mixer.

-Good choice, if you want to mess around with your signal's options in an all-in-one, compact unit.

-Generally good enough effects for the price.

-The price is definitely adding up points to it.

-The 16-bit depth, instead of 24. Haven't listen any major difference yet, but 16-bit is still pretty outdated for 2018.

-Not able for multi-track recording.

-Missing any XLR outputs.

-Would be much easier if the Phantom Power switch wasn't in the back.

-Power & USB cable connections could nest somehow in the case, instead of occupying space in the back.

-Low Headphones output.

-No mute button in the channel strips.

In conclusion, if you want to combine audio interface with a mixer, it works. If you don't share my compatibility concerns with Logic Pro, check out also the Mackie PROFX.

If your needs are relatively simple, this is a great product. Yes, the effects section, basic and inflexible, is irrelevent for me, but everything else is good. It has all the connectors (4x XLR, phantom powered, an extra couple of stereo line in, all very flexible). The audio quality seems really good. The case quality is really solid. It runs quite hot after a while, even though the power unit is separate - reminds me not to leave it on forever. USB connectivity with Mac is fine. Some software (Finale eg) takes some persuading to recognise the Alesis, to the point of restarting the software with the mixer connected - not totally plug-and-play. But this is no big problem. Good price too.

Not often I use FX so maybe a "hint" of FX for a guest singer sometimes. I see FX as something the performer hides behind, I'm brave enough to avoid FX thank you.

I am a solo act, but I have many musical friends who sometimes turn up and plug in, this is the only reason I got this FX version. I like the "guitar" button on channel 2, works great with magnetic or transducer p'ups.

As I only do live venues, I cannot say how clean the sound is, but I know from past Alesis gear I have (& still use) their equipment is plenty reliable and sounds good too.

Everything works as I expect it to, chorus & rotary speakers (not my personal needs) work only when in full stereo, but nice & clean sounding. As with any PA, "stereo" only lasts until the venue gets full of audience warm & a few chatty people in there, then stereo "was" OK.

The rubber "cheeks" on this are nice and reassuring to carry, or just lift/move in or out of the gig box.

I like rotary knobs more than sliders as a gentle slip or touch can send a slider a long way causing a bit of an audio disaster, but not a rotary knob.

All in all this is a great little capable mixer which will not hurt much if beer is spilled on it, or (as usual) someone trips on the wires and it goes off stage, my days of gently nursing things is gone, I enjoy them while they last and always carry a spare.

Great price at Thomann, compared it with my local m'sic shop price =1/3rd more & wait one month to receive it. I got mine 3 days delivery (to my house) from online order at Thomann.. Great & thanks Thomann.

Good quality
