Powerful piece of gear
O_OBrien, 12.01.2018
Picked up the MPC Studio as it was the cheapest MPC I could find. As a hip-hop producer, this was the most effective method of sampling and chopping music I have found.
The MPC Studio is the perfect size for any home studio. It's compact and durable, with the same pad sensitivity you'd expect from the classic MPCs.
Slight learning curve of about two weeks to get used to the features and software, due to the lack of online tutorials (check out Tony Brown and the Pad Bank).
Controller integrates quite well with the MPC software, can also be used with Pro Tools, Ableton, etc, via plugin. Anyone used to mixing on Pro Tools may find the processors and effects on the MPC software a bit lacking (NO EQ!!!).
Purchase includes an extensive list of downloadable content, including plug-ins and a large sample library (with a legacy of all previous MPC drum kits and samples).
Keep in mind, this is not a standalone unit, and will require a computer with licensed software to operate. While the LED screen mirrors whats on the software, it lacks a fair amount of detail. For anyone looking for live performance, check out NI's Maschine. As far as I know you'll need your I-Lok when using the Studio.
In conclusion, very good piece of gear for newbies and professionals alike. Super comprehensive and makes chopping and sampling tracks a breeze. Get this and a MIDI keyboard and you have yourself a full home studio.

Clean, Portable, and Brilliant.
14.12.2016
When I ordered this MPC I already knew what I was getting. A portable Midi Center, ready to go with a laptop to make awesome tracks!
The Pads are very responsive, the software is very intuitive, simple and clean, the Q-Links are good, but compared to a Renaissance you lose 12 knobs, but you can still easily access them via the Q-Scroll, the workflow is amazing, I don't need to stare at the computer screen for hours, I can just lean back and enjoy some production.
It's easy to connect and I feel 0 latency between my hits, it's quick and top-quality sounding.
I will give this MPC a 9/10 just because it's worth the money and you get what you pay for!

Cheers!
