For the price, this PAR can is fantastic! I wasn't able to find a more budget-friendly can from any other reliable provider. It's a PAR can - the functionality of all of these fixtures are the same. The fixture is fully earthed. The hanging brackets are very thick and very capable, unlike some fixtures I've previously owned!
The gel frame was stuck to the outside of the packaging with tape, leaving a sticky residue on the frame, and slightly bending the frame. If you're hanging this light, you won't notice it, but I was using this fixture for eye candy and so I had to spend some time taking the residue off. There were also some small scratches and tiny dints, but it is a cheap can and can't complain too much!
However, I'm writing a review to warn you of an issue mine had. It's an easy fix, but could be dangerous if you don't spot it! My can had one of the mains cables loose inside of the back of the can, not screwed into the terminal. It was pressing against the metallic side of the can and if it was plugged in immediately would most likely have become live and could have electrocuted someone! Luckily, it was obvious to notice and since you have to install a bulb into this fixture, it's likely you'll notice it too. You can just use a screw to insert the wire back into the terminal and tug it to ensure it won't come back out. Since the fixture comes with an EU plug (I'm in the UK), I had a spare cable with a UK plug and just replaced the entire length instead!
I'm sure the issues I had were just a one-off and I would consider purchasing another in the future, despite these issues.
