Juste Excellent

J'ai acheté ce micro afin d'améliorer la qualité du son pour une production audio visuelle (n'étant pas professionnel de ce secteur, nous avons une petite production interne) ; le résultat est sans commune mesure avec ce que l'on utilisait avant. Son qualité radio très riche, sans aucun effort, c'est juste excellent.

Et bien je ne peux pas dire que je suis une grande pro du son mais depuis peu un petit studio dédié a la M.A.O avec une carte son Apollo 8 duo un MacBooK pro et mes enceintes Neumann KH120A un casque ...avant j'ai essayè avec un Rhode Nt1...et je me suis dis aller achetes toi un micro un peu plus...prise de son avec ma voix chant Bossa nova Jazz..c'est un micro très très précis ^^ oulala:) il enregistre le moindre petit détail , je l'utilise en mettant un plugin compresseur Fet ^^ ça donne du tonnerre !!! son chaud au possible ^^ :) je vais découvrir les qualités de ce micros en même temps que je découvre la M.A.O , mais d'emblèe y'a pas photo hein les prises au chant sont superbes !!! il est pas donné ...mais il les vaut largement ! :)

A world of its own! Neumann TLM 49

After reading, checking forums and researching, I pulled the trigger and got this big baby! I have previously recorded with this mic in several professional broadcast studios in Berlin and Bonn, so I have an idea how my voice sounds doing voiceover and radio work, but not singing.

After connecting the mic to my RME UCX builtin mic preamp, I noticed that the output from the mic was not as hot as it is with my other condenser mics, nevertheless I was blown away with the way this mic responded to my voice. I tend to occupy a wide dynamic range when singing, and this mic was sweet, warm and intimate with the whispers, and had that crisp tone, details and definition when singing flamenco-like screams. I seriously do not understand why and how people trashed this mic in some forums.
My experience was nothing but great. Put that mic in front of a serious performer and you'll understand why Neumann consider this a vocal mic. One thing however, the shock mount doesn't seem to hold the mic well. And I need to over tighten the screw which does not seem right considering the amazing build quality of this mic. I am planning to contact thomann team if the issue persists.

Highly recommended microphone. If you are looking for a high quality vocal microphone, get it. But remember it is NOT the mic, it is you, your talent and the music that flows through you!
