A wonderful instrument with a powerful sound

I have all the recorders ranging from the soprano down to the bass and now a great bass. But what a great bass! Küng is definitely an excellent recorder manufacturer, thinking of all the details from the wood quality to the fine tuning of the instrument. I bought this recorder because I wanted to play with my son. He is a young cello player and now I can play with the great bass the same C bass he's playing with his cello. You can even hear the sound fo the great bass when we play together because the sound of this recorder is rich and powerful. The only thing that falls short is my breath!

Beautiful, responsive instrument, excellent tone.

I play in medium to large groups, usually the deepest instrument in the group. Usually Renaissance, Baroque, sometimes Modern music or Jazz. This is a beautiful instrument, tone excellent. Response flexible, can play fast runs easily. Jumps down to lower notes sound very well. The direct blow allows a great deal of control, and the delay between starting to blow and the note sounding is reasonably short, and very predictable. I find the instrument needs a quite a lot of air, need to play in short phrases, but this can work well for running bass parts. Lower tones beautiful, rich and easy to sound. Upper tones clear and easy to sound, except that I find the second octave "a" can be hard to sound, while "b flat" is easy and clear, "b" and "c" adequate. Have not attempted to play this as a more than two octave instrument.
I have added the end pin and play standing up, more room for the rib cage to expand for more air.
I fell in love with a friend's instrument about 5 years ago and saved up!
Good strong case, well cushioned.

Als ich die ersten Töne spielten war ich etwas enttäuscht aufgrund des geringen Volumens, aber..... auch den Großbass ordentlich einspielen und es wird ein ganz tolles Instrument.
Bereits nach einer Woche klang der Bass kräftig und laut. Ich spiele solo und im größeren Ensemble.
Ich bin sehr zufrieden.
