Achetés en remplacement de mes médiators classiques en tortex, à la fois pour le test, et pour renouveler le stock.

Je joue sur guitare électrique, avec des tirants 12-60 en accordage standard, donc les médiators tortex n'ont pas une grande durée de vie avec moi. De plus, j'échappe mes médiators un peu trop souvent à mon goût. Donc ces médiators combinant meilleure résistance et une surface texturée sont parfaits.

Attention cependant, car à épaisseur égale, l'Ultex est beaucoup plus rigide que le tortex. Ces médiators correspondraient donc à du 1.00-1.20 pour un médiator standard.

C'est juste dommage que Thomann n'en propose pas de triangulaires larges comme pour les 1.50.

Bref, mon seul bémol, c'est le prix, car à ce tarif ça fait vraiment cher du bout de plastique ! (d’où le retrait d'une étoile)

Pour moi ce sont les meilleurs ne glissent pas dureté idéale le king du flat piking.

I love the Dunlop Primetone plectrums!

I started with Primetone Standard 0,73 and used it as my only pick for nearly a year. Then I moved up to the 0,88 and am now using the 1,00. I also have a 1,50 on order. As I progress as a guitarist I find I am liking thicker and thicker picks.

I use them mainly with an OM size acoustic, strung with 12s or 13s, but also with electric.

The thing I like most about these is their overall sound and feel, they are less "clicky" on the strings than the the standard Dunlop Tortex picks, and feel very organic. They also have a grippy print which makes them stay put in your hands even with heavy strumming. If you need them more grippy you can score them with a knife or drill/bore holes in them (I did this at first but found I don't need to any more, perhaps my technique has improved).

I also love the way they are extremely versatile. Depending on how hard you hit the strings to change the sound is a technique you can use with any pick, but with these even the angle you hold it can change the sound a lot, and you can get a very mellow sound if you tilt the pick slightly on its side.

The only drawback would be their price, but even a single 0,73 (the thinnest they make in this style) lasted me nearly a year with a lot of playing (an average of three hours a days I would say), and the only reason I changed it was to try the next thicker one. The hand bevelled edges are great and it really feels like they never wear down.

I tried a LOT of picks over the last few years, and TBH these are the Holy Grail for me.

Mittlerweile mein Standard-Plektrum für Akustikgitarre

Hallo!

Ein bisschen erinnert mich die Farbe immer an Cola im Glas oder sogar an die Colafläschchen von Haribo, die ich immer sehr lecker fand.

Der Grip der Dinger ist toll. Zum Glück geht der Grip nicht ganz bis zum Rand des Picks, wer also mit der runden Seite anschlagen möchte, kann das auch tun, ohne dass es kratzt. Wer das Kratzen will, bekommt es bei der richtigen Pickhaltung aber auch. Hardcore-Fans von The Edge beispielsweise brauchen das ja. Bei Dunlops Nylonpicks ist das anders, da kratzt es immer.

Es ist und bleibt ein Kunststoff, da gibt es auch Abrieb. Hin und wieder poliere ich mal ein Pick mit einer Polierfeile für Fingernägel wieder glatt, dramatisch ist das aber bei mir nicht.

Ich mag den Sound dieser Plektren sehr gerne. Ausgewogen über Höhen, Mitten und Bässe, schöner Anschlag-Knack, wenig Klicken. Für akustische Gitarren ideal.

Klanglich ist man von den normalen Ultex-Plektren von Dunlop nicht sehr weit weg. Die "Normalos" klingen für mich etwas weniger fein, das nimmt sich aber nicht viel. Im Blindtest würde ich es vermutlich nicht hören - auf den Grip möchte ich aber nicht verzichten.

Nach vielen Jahren ist das mein Standard für die Akustikgitarre geworden. Daneben benutze ich noch das Dunlop Ultex in 0.72 in der normalen (gelben) Version - einfach, damit ich die beiden schnell unterscheiden kann.
