Daddario NS515 High E Electric Cello

I use this string on NS-Design NXT5 electric cello, along with a set of D'Addarios on other strings as well.

On cello E-strings there is very little competition. Apart from D'Addario, the only E-strings available are from Larsen and Thomastik. They are more expensive and I haven't tried them so I can't compare.

The E-string is in my opinion not a very good match to full set from same manufacturer. Compared to standard D'Addario A-string, this is a bit louder and higher tension. On acoustic cello this might make sense as it would automatically add volume to high solos but on electric cello it's practically meaningless. I would much prefer richer tone at the expense of volume.

Personally, I'm planning to try the other brands next.
