Contemporanea 10" Pandeiro Wood

I purchased it to learn and discover new rhythms and mainly here the Brazilian music.
The pandeiro feels great while playing and is very study.
The only cons are that it is not tuned and upon watching some videos i found that it need to be muffled at the bottom and from then i got that wonderful sound of pandeiro.
Also the finish is a little ruff but for me i assume it is as a traditional and rustic instrument.
The brand Contemporanea is beautiful and makes me feel as a Brazilian playing samba (but not the playing till now)

Hallo, mir fehlt der Vergleich, schließlich habe ich nicht 10 verschiedene Pandeiros in die Hand genommen und mich dann entschieden. Ich bin aber sehr zufrieden mit dem was ich bekommen habe. Contemporanea ist offensichtlich ein Hersteller dessen Instrumente auch gerne von Profis verwendet werden, hier macht man also beim Kauf sicher nichts verkehrt.
Nach gewohnt kurzer Lieferzeit wurde das Pandeiro zusammen mit einem kleinen Stimmschlüssel geliefert. Es wirkt solide verarbeitet, das Kunstoffell hat für meinen Geschmack schon die richtige Spannung so daß es sofort mit dem Spielen losgehen kann. Das Pandeiro ist etwa 5 cm hoch und hat einen Durchmesser von 27 cm (logisch: 10''...). Ein Aufkleber weist nochmal extra darauf hin, daß es sich um ein "light" Produkt handelt, aber so "light" kommt es mir gar nicht vor. Der solide, 8mm breite Korpus und der hohe Anteil an Aluminium und Stahl lassen das Instrument eben doch solide, aber keineswegs "light" erscheinen. Es läßt sich für meinen Geschmack sehr gut handhaben und klingt gut.
Den Umgang mit dem Pandeiro (wenn man ihn nicht schon kennt) lernt man wohl am besten bei You Tube. Einfach unter "Pandeiro lessons" suchen.
