Improves the old speaker sound threefold!!!

I'm a professional bassist and just changed the speaker in an old combo bass amp with this baby and I could not believe the difference. All of the sudden it sounded like a brand new much larger amp. I use this amp now regularly for rehearsals or small to medium size gigs and I'm still amazed with the improvement that this Celestion speaker has made to the bass combo. It is very round and clear with a fat bass sound and a smooth but pleasant mid sound. Now I also take it with me to every studio recording and mike the amp. The sound is very rich and tight. I highly recommend it.

Better than expected

I bought a pair of these drivers to put in to some mid-range cabs i was building for my pa. I wasn't expecting miracles for the price but when i received them i was happily surprised at the quality, power and clarity of these speakers. I used them this weekend as part of my larger rig and they had no issues with keeping up with my faithful black widows.

all in all, highly recommended for any bass or mid range application!
