This is excellent value for money, and feels and sounds a lot better than I could have hoped for. The plastic has a lovely finish to it, it certainly doesn't feel cheap and cheerful, and the leather carry pouch is also higher quality than you would expect for this price. It really isn't a cheap and disposable toy. Yes it is just plastic, but it feels like a musical instrument as opposed to a cheap plastic gimmick. The tone is nice and not shrill, it has a nice depth to it. Obviously it is very high pitched, but it is quite a pleasant timbre. It doesn't sound 'plastic'. That's all the good news. The bad news is that yes, it really is tiny, and if like me you have big hands with long fingers or wide fingertips you will struggle to play it well. I love the fact that it is so portable as I have had it comfortably inside my leather jacket inner pocket when travelling, but to be honest haven't done any serious work with it because it is so tiny my hands struggle to cover each tone hole. So there you go. It was at a price that it could have just ended up in the bin as a wasted gimmick, but in fact is a lovely little instrument and excellent value for money, but just more difficult to play than I was expecting. It was still a worthwhile purchase even given that, I just play it occasionally. It's very cute and I don't regret buying it.
