I ordered and received mine few months back and really like it. I could see this being a great beginner bass for under 1000¤.

Out of the box:

When the instrument arrived it required some setup and after that it was playing amazing. You might wanna change the strings if you are not feeling them. Also the endpin feels kinda hard to get out, but otherwise not too much to complain.

Playing and sound:

Playing was great and the feel of the instrument was solid. I didn't have problem moving my hand up and down the neck. Sound is great and i feel like woods do a great job on that.

Overall i would recommend this bass if you are getting your first one and you wanna buy a good bass for under 1000¤.

Good starter bass

This is a very good quality bass for the money. It was packaged very well and delivered quickly.
If theres one thing that wasn't so good it was the setup - it came pretty much unplayable. Definitely factor in the price of a setup when buying this bass. Better strings also make the word of difference.
Having said all that, I am very happy with it. I have tried other similar priced instruments, and this feels a step above them. Once you get the above issues sorted, you have yourself a great bass.

Excellent double bass for the price

I'm very pleased with this bass. I bought it to learn double bass after years of playing bass guitar and haven't looked back! For the price, the finish is good, it plays well and sounds pretty good too. I haven't had it professionally set up - I fitted the bridge myself, following instructions - and so far everything's been great. Six months on, I've just done my first gigs with this bass and it performed beautifully.

Nous vivons dans une époque formidable. Pour avoir fait de la contrebasse il y a une 15aine d'années il était en ce temps impossible d'acquérir un instrument de cet acabit là sans déboursé trois fois la somme versée pour cette contrebasse.
Les finitions sont très bonnes, l'instrument tient l'accord, est agréable à joué et sonne bien dans une bonne partie de son registre.
Alors certes ce produit est loin d'être exempt de défauts comme les cordes qui sonnent très mal, la pique drôlement fichue, un peu de frise dans les bas sur la corde de mi (un passage chez le luthier devrait régler l'affaire).
Mais purée à ce prix là on a tout bonnement affaire à un vrai instrument, je l'ai depuis peu mais elle a déjà fait beaucoup de concerts et plus le temps passe plus elle sonne, elle prend de l'ampleur.

Enfin bref, merci Thomann d'avoir fabriqué cet instrument et de nous l'avoir rendu accessible grace à vos tarifs absolument incroyables.
