Good looking, good sounding ukulele - a delight to play

This ukulele is very reaonably priced for one made of solid acacia. The tone is very good and it is a very attractive, well-made instrument made in Portugal. With a scale length of 395 mm it is slightly larger than a usual concert ukulele with a scale length of about 380 mm. This is a probably a factor in giving it a good tone. It doesn't come with a gigbag, but this is not a problem as it fits inside a Rockbag, available from Thomann. Under related products on the page for the ukulele, Thomann show the Ibanez gigbag, but this is unlikely to be large enough. Thomann recommended the Rockbag. The fixing of the strings at the bridge is unconventional as the strings go back inside the body of the ukulele, where they are knotted; access is through the sound hole. This makes changing strings more complicated. However, there doesn't seem to be any reason why the strings cannot be tied at the end of the brifge in a more conventional fashion, which is what I shall do when I change them. All in all I am delighted with the purchase.

LOVELY tone Use

I don't want a nikname 13.09.2023

I really like this. It has a bright, warm tone. It looks and feels beautiful. And stays in tune pretty well. there's one or two frets that make tuning it a little more involved, (trying to match open strings with fretted notes) but once you get it, it sounds great.

J'ai ce ukulélé depuis un an et j'en joue régulièrement. Je l'ai choisi parce qu'il était en bois massif et fabriqué en Europe.
Les +: L'action est basse et il sonne juste sur tout le manche. Aucun réglage à reprendre sorti de la boîte. C'est suffisamment rare pour être souligné. Le son est doux et très agréable. Le bois est beau, avec des ondulations assez spectaculaires dans les veines de l'acacia. J'ai changé les cordes Aquila, que je n'aime pas, pour des cordes en fluorocarbone. Cela améliore la définition des notes et la projection de l'instrument. Le manche est un peu épais, mais cela n'est pas gênant.
Les - : Ce ukulélé est un peu lourd et la projection s'en trouve diminuée. Il ne sonne pas très fort. Mon modèle présente une irrégularité dans l'alternance bois sombre / bois clair du filet de corps. Il y a un gros paquet de colle au niveau du chevalet (au moins, je suis sûre qu'il ne va pas se décoller). Il n'y a pas de contre-éclisses. Il y a deux petites taches dans le vernis au niveau de la jonction corps-manche si on observe le ukulélé à la loupe à la recherche de défauts. Le changement de corde est un peu compliqué par le fait que le chevalet soit traversant: il faut passer la corde dans le chevalet, la faire sortir par la rosace, faire un nœud sur la corde et la retirer vers le chevalet. Cela peut devenir crispant si la corde de ukulélé (comme celle de La très fine) au lieu de venir gentiment vers la rosace s'avise d'aller visiter les profondeurs du ukulélé... Prévoyez les pinces...
Malgré ces quelques défauts, il a un bon rapport qualité-prix.

Ein Instrument, das Spaß macht

Ein optisch sehr schönes und gut verarbeitetes Instrument. Der Klang ist warm und angenehm, nicht so schrill wie bei manchen anderen Ukuleles dieser Kategorie. Mit einem elektronischen Stimmgerät lässt sich die Ukulele in kurzer Zeit einwandfrei und genau stimmen. Bisher hatte ich nur Gitarre gespielt. Die Umstellung auf dieses Instrument fiel mehr sehr leicht. Die engeren Bünde und auch der Halsumfang stellen für mich kein Problem dar. Die bereits bei Lieferung aufgezogenen Seiten passen klanglich gut zu dieser Ukulele und sind angenehmer beim Spielen als die bei meiner Konzertgitarre. Etwas Negatives konnte ich bisher noch nicht feststellen.
