A very nice baritone

A few days ago I took delivery of a Thomann BariPRO S Baritone Sax. I am a so-so player who plays the saxophone purely for personal enjoyment, but I still like quality instruments. My only other experience with a baritone was a higher-end Japanese instrument that I eventually sold. It always was an effort to play.
I am really surprised how easy the Thomann BariPRO feels under the hand. It is very responsive. Playing softly is no problem at all. In fact, it seems to need very little air, and I find it hard to put it down. And it looks good. Nothing cheap about it.
Where I live it isn't necessarily easy to get hold of a budget-priced baritone. More expensive ones are, however, often on offer. So I conducted a careful on-line process of research, and in the end this baritone seemed to best for me. I wasn't sure how it would travel, but that turned out to be an unnecessary worry.
The ordering process was easy. The people at Thomann are very friendly. From the initial order to taking delivery in Australia it took eleven days. The packing was very good, nothing was damaged and UPS kept me informed about changes in the delivery estimate.

Sehr gutes Bariton-Saxophon

Als ich das gute Stück auspacken konnte, war ich vom Fleck weg begeistert!
Die Lieferung war wie immer schnell & sauber. Sehr ordentlich & vor allem sicher verpackt kam es makellos bei mir an.
Das Saxophon an sich ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Alle Klappen schließen einwandfrei, alle Federn passen genau.
Der Klang des Instruments ist hervorragend, sehr gute Ansprache!
Vom Aussehen her kann ich auch überhaupt nichts schlechtes sagen: Die Gravur am Korpus ist wunderschön gearbeitet & das Saxophon glänzt im Studiolicht in jeden Winkel!
Noch kurz zum Lieferumfang: Ein sehr stabiler Hardcase-Koffer mit Rollen zum einfachen & sicheren Transport des Instruments. Mit dabei ist auch ein praktischer Wischer für's Mundstück & dem S-Bogen, ein bequemer Tragegurt & sogar das erste Holzblättchen, damit man sofort loslegen kann!

Summa summarum kann ich dieses Bariton-Sax nur empfehlen, es gab für mich nichts daran auszusetzen. Hatte bereits das Vergnügen mit einem Thomann Hand-Made-Tenor-Sax, & auch hier bekam ich 1A-Qualität! Noch dazu bei dem Preis, wenn man z. B. einen Keilwerth oder einen Selmer damit vergleicht.

Thomann BariPRO S Baritone Sax

Yesterday I received the saxophone. First of all hereto the impression about the packaging: done very well in order to keep safe the instrument inside. The case is very well conceived and safe, with 4 locking clips and comfortable transport wheels. Feet on two sides of the suitcase, so you can place it in 2 ways. After opening ...... the sax is still protected with a plastic bag and Durabol (I assure you that nothing can happen during transport). The keys are blocked from the pieces of foam in order to make them not banging during transport. Then the sax ..... beautiful, built and finished like a jewel, a perfect engraving, the mechanic is very quite and well built of, the keys close perfectly and the ergonomy is fine. With the set-up found inside, rico reed 2.5 and mouthpiecese I was able to play easily at the first time.
Sound is clear,warm and well tuned.
I'm really happy with this Bari. Thanks Thomann!

eine super "Maschine" !

Dieses Baritonsax von Thomann ist unschlagbar im Leistungs-Preis-Verhältnis. Es ist bei mir seit längerem bei wöchentlichen Proben, jedesmal mit Transport, im Einsatz. Dabei ist der stabile Rollkoffer eine tolle Hilfe. Dieses Bari ist im Niveau "gutes Blasorchester" oder SaxQuartett absolut tauglich. Der Klang ist sehr schön, warm, weich, aber auch wenn ich will, eher durchdringend. Die Verarbeitung ließ bisher keine Wünsche offen. Die Handhabung ist auch mit kleineren Frauenhänden
sehr leicht. Das mitgelieferte Mundstück ist für mich genau passend. Außerdem sieht es wirklich sehr schön aus! Ein "Glanzstück".
