Perus aktiivikaiuttimet

Käytän kaiuttimia paljon yleisesti taustalla, musiikin kuunteluun ja äänenlaatu on riittävä, tai ainakin minulle riittävä. Voimakkuuttakin riittää vaikka pieneen kotiteatteriin. Lisäsin rinnalle melko pian aktiivisubbarin jotta alemmatkin taajuudet tulisivat esille. Pienenä harmittavana yksityiskohtana omassa käytössä olen todennut sen, että hiljaa kuunneltaessa kaiuttimien automaattinen virran katkaisu toimii turhan herkästi eikä kaiuttimissa ole valittavissa jatkuvaa virran syöttöä. Tämä siis silloin kun kaiuttimen aktiivivahvistimen tasot ovat voimakkaalla ja linjataso säädetty hiljaiselle mikseristä.

Laadukkaat studiomonitorit

Treenikselle äänitysmonitoreiksi hommattuna ajavat asiansa todella hyvin. Matalien äänien toisto yllättävänkin hyvä, ja hintaansa nähden äänenlaatu on kiitettävä. Hetken pohdin ASM5 ja näiden välillä, mutta tilan koon (50neliötä) vuoksi päädyin näihin enkä ole katunut.

Really surprising! Both good and bad.

I upgraded from the Presonus Eris E3.5 studio monitors which I absolutely loved, but it was time to get a bit more of the frequency spectrum for mixing and mastering. I was debating between going with the Eris E5's and these, but I bought these because I generally love everything that Thomann makes for their in house brands. I have to say, for the price these are incredible!

I need more time to mix and master with them before commenting on the audio quality, but my initial impression is they sound very clear. I can hear each frequency much more clearly than with my E3.5s, and the stereo spectrum is also more audible.

My only complaint (and maybe this is normal) is that these speakers are incredibly noisy when they are on and no sound is being produced. The white noise hiss from the tweeters and even the low hum from the speaker is very loud - it was inaudible with my E3.5s. And I made sure that this wasn't caused by bad cables or ground loops. So maybe I was spoiled with my old monitors, and maybe this is normal, but it was an unpleasant surprise. I was happy when the power save function kicked in and I had that wonderful silence again, even though that took a little longer than I expected.

I think while I am recording with a mic I will switch these off because they would definitely bleed into the mics.

Build quality is great and they are huge and heavy!

Clear vocals

These boys are chunky and sound the part! Controls on the back allow you to fine-tune their response according to your room setup.

There's a pronounced lower-midrange hump, but it doesn't seem to be too aggressive. Something I'll be mindful of.

Voices sound very clear and I now regret I published a mix a couple of days before getting these -- I would've fixed some issues!

All in all, good value
