Great mic but with high feedback issue

Purchased this cardioid mic to solve the feedback problems in a setup;
Our setup works well with cardioid standard mics, all our tested Omni lavaliere mics are unusable due to feedback issues. And decided to purchase this Sennheiser MKE 40-EW cardioid mic which turned to be very close in feedback with the Omni mics, therefore we have returned it for not solving our problem.

Conclusion: it is a great-sounding microphone but is not usable in the proximity of the speakers or high stage volume also not much better in terms of feedback issues compared to their Omni counterparts.

A good piece of equipment

Thomann are a very efficient supplier. The microphone is as good as I expected it to be. I would definitely recommend this.

Uso queste capsule da anni in troupe televisiva leggera ENG, principalmente per interviste, con grande soddisfazione per pulizia del suono, direzionalità del microfono, robustezza del prodotto. Per me MKE 40 è soprattutto una garanzia per qualità e affidabilità.
Ho provato a usarla anche con radio trasmettitore RODE con ottimo risultato.

Magnífico y mítico micrófono lavalier o de corbata utilizado diariamente por las principales cadenas de TV (lo podrás ver en TVE, Antena 3, Telecinco...), por lo que ya es un símbolo de garantía.
Personalmente lo utilizo para proyectos personales de vídeo y canal de youtube.
Pros:
Sonido muy nítido y muy sensible. No necesita que esté muy cerca de la boca para captar perfectamente la voz.
Genial las cápsulas intercambiables de color blanco o negro según el color de la camisa.
Muy útil el accesorio de imán, para colocarlo en aquellas prendas de difícil sujeción.
Contras:
Ninguno. Quizás el precio, pero vale cada céntimo que cuesta. No nos olvidemos que es un producto profesional.

Lo recomendaría totalmente.
