Good pair of thin drumsticks

These are great light weight drumsticks for low volume gigs or practice sessions. They don't seem to break too easily as some might think. Only the tips on mine have chipped a bit but it's not unlike any of the other drumsticks I've used. Great for any low volume music playing, styles ranging from jazz to light rock or indie, not just tango.

Due to the thinness at the end of the stick it seems like they have a more responsive effect on high cymbal frequencies at least to my ears. So it might be wise to use them with cympads to better dampen cymbals, if lower volume playing is really what you're going for. I think I'll try lighter maple sticks for a change next time I need sticks for lighter playing, but these at least seem to last well. I might buy them again in the future.

Excellent for quiet playing

I have other Rohema sticks and have been very pleased with them all for quality of manufacture.

I use these for quiet acoustic sets and as a way of keeping volume down when your technique is not brilliant, they are way better than using rods. The sound on a ride cymbal is very sweet and clear. I can get a good cross-stick sound on a snare. They don't pull much tone out of toms, but you would hardly expect otherwise.

... sicher, Sticks sind immer auch Geschmacks- & Gefühlsache - mein Gefühl derzeit: ich brauche keinen anderen.

Die Fakten:
Der "Tango" ist ein sehr leichter, dünner Stick, den ich für perkussive Latin-Musik angeschafft habe. Man kann aber ohne Schwierigkeiten auch sehr laut bis hin zu kräftigen Rimshots damit spielen, denn in der Hickory-Variante kann er richtig was einstecken. Spiele ihn inzwischen seit über zwei Jahren bei allen Gelegenheiten (Gipsy-Kings-Cover-Band bis Kneipenrock). Bisher nicht ein Stickbruch! Ausgetauscht werden sie erst dann, wenn die Kuppe irgendwann nicht mehr klingt (zu weich gespielt ist).

Größter Vorteil in meinen Augen: großer Dynamikumfang bei guter Kontrolle vor allem im Pianissimo; außerdem macht er möglich, druckvoll und mit Rimshots zu spielen, ohne gleich die dB-Werte einer Metalband zu erreichen. Nicht nur super im Proberaum für die eigenen Ohren und die der Mitmusiker, sondern auch auf der Bühne.

Fazit: sehr gute Qualität und Verarbeitung. Überraschend vielseitig einsetzbar. Hier hat sich ROHEMA was feines einfallen lassen. Danke!

Excelente solución para reducir el volumen

Buscaba una baqueta que me ayudara a reducir el volumen para tocar en directo con guitarras y voces amplificadas y no perdiera el "toque" y lo mas imoportante que mantuviera un buen rebote.
Y esta baqueta cumple estos requisitos de maravilla.
Ademas tiene un muy buen agarre y tacto; y personalmente me he sentido muy comodo tocando con ellas.
Logicamente no son baquetas para tocar "duro" pero resisten y responden muy bien a los toqes en el aro de caja.
Muy sutiles y con un ping muy bonito en los platos.
