Practice pad that you can hear

Bought this pad to have a little louder pad, so I could work on the consitency of my strokes. Since this pad is a little louder you can hear smaller differences in stroke volume.
The feel of this pad is also pretty close to a real drum, which is obviously a benefit.
As I said, this is a louder pad, so not ideal for quiet practice, but that was not why I bought this so not a problem for me.
Also, would suggest using a snare basket stand.

bought this for my kid to practice rudiments and it now goes everywhere with him. light, solid, and has a great response, with just enough bounce to make it act as a serviceable snare head. it's funny how these simple little things can make such a difference to one's musicianship over time. a pleasure to practice on.

Simple and effective practice pad.

I've wanted a practice pad for some time and finally decided to purchase one to improve on stick pronunciation and accuracy. This pad provides a really excellent surface to do exactly that. Also it fits to a snare drum / cymbal boom arm fitting so it's usable wherever you are, even just on the floor or table! :)
