Pyramid 509.200 Bass Ukulele Set

Mini ukulelebassoon tuli hankittua heti korvaava kielisetti. Näissä oli kiva pinnoite, että kumikielet sai vaihdettua metallintuntoisiin.

E -kieli ei kuitenkaan soi selkeästi, joka häiritsi (myös alkuperäisillä kumikielillä sama ongelma). E-kielen asennuksen yhteydessä kieli meinasi mennä poikki ja se tuntui hyvin heiveröiselle. Kyllä se kuitenkin on kestänyt vielä. Soittoa kuitenkin näillä kielillä on ollut todella vähän, että pientä näppäilyä vain nojatuolissa.

Kielet on silti paremmat minun mielestä, mitä kumikielet, jotka tuli minun soittimen mukana.

If the sound of the rubber strings is not the most important thing for you and regular electric bass sound is OK, then I would say that these strings are definitely worth trying.

These strings practically fixed all of the issues that I had with the rubber band strings.

It's much easier to play with these strings as these are not sticky. The intonation is also much better and now my bass stays in tune quite well (huge difference compared to the original strings).

One very important improvement (at least for me) was that now there's much more sustain.

Btw, these strings are much thinner than the original strings but I haven't changed the nut. I just put the new stings on and enjoyed the improvements.

Decided to give these Pyramids a try as wanted a more standard electric bass sound from my Ukulele Bass.
Prior to fitting these strings I was using the standard ''rubber'' uke bass strings and all I could get from my uke bass was sounds like Double Bass.
Although I enjoy the big double bass sound from my tiny uke bass I wanted to experiment and try and get a standard electric bass sound.
I ordered them and they were promptly delivered as usual and packaging was excellent.
I unwrapped the strings and found that they were ball ended strings. They were also supplied with washers to seat the ball ends in which stops them being pulled through the Uke.
Once fitted which was really straightforward I began to tune them giving them a stretch as they were tensioned. Tuning was good and they continued to stretch for a day or two.
Now a week later I am picking up my uke and they are staying in tune. This is much better than the ''rubber'' strings i had on prior to these that needed constant tuning.
I now have a solid bodied uke bass which is easier to play and I can get the funk sound I wanted from my uke and sounding like a full size electric bass.
Give them a try you won't be dissapointed!!!!

I've just bought a solid body ukulele bass which came with the usual rubber type strings which I really don't like. I've used metal bass strings on my Ubass for nearly a year and really like them. So I bought these and on day one fitted them to my solid body uke bass. They sound great, feel great and I will never go back to the rubber strings. More of a bass guitar tone but I really like this sound.
