Monitoring PERSONUS ERIS E8 XT

Je cherchais depuis longtemps des enceintes pour compléter un YAMAHA TYROS 4.
Ayant découvert les ERIS 8 XT, et sur les conseils de THOMANN, j'ai opté pour celles-ci.
Surprise : je redécouvre mon TYROS , le son est beaucoup plus détaillé, les aigües très fines, les basses bien profondes et très agréables, sans agressivité ni talonnage. C'est exactement ce que je recherchais. d'autant que la puissance est très confortable.
J'ai possédé des YAMAHA MSR 400 : rien de comparable...
Vraiment des supers enceintes de monitoring parfaites pour compléter un clavier en usage domestique ou studio.
La qualité de fabrication semble excellente et les dimensions sont raisonnables.
Je pense les compléter plus tard avec un caisson de basse TREMBLOR T10 et certainement une deuxième paire d'ERIS 8XT pour un autre local.
Un grand merci à THOMANN pour ses conseils avisés et la rapidité de livraison.

Mains hum when idle but sounds fantastic

I use these as monitors in a small studio for recording, mixing and mastering. I previously used a pair of Alesis M1 Active mk 2 for 20+ years. After calibrating the SPL with pink noise (Eris E8 XT were around 12 dB louder than the Alesis at their unity gain notches) they still made a huge difference in definition. With the Eris I could hear everything with much greater clarity. Bass, electric guitars, vocals as well as cymbals and hi-hats at the very top. My impression is that everything separates itself from the "mush" so you can make much more educated mix decisions. Stereo imaging is way better. I really love the way they sound and they were a significant improvement of my setup.
The only downside is the quiet, but clearly audible, mains hum when not playing anything. This hum was also present in a pair of the predecessors (Eris E8) I've tried before, so it seems like a design issue. I find the hum rather annoying since I was used to the completely hum-less Alesis monitors. But since the sound quality when actually playing music through them is so amazing I decided keep them anyway.

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Die Lautsprecher haben mich im direkten Vergleich mit den anderen ausgestellten Monitoren im Musikhaus Thomann eindeutig am meisten überzeugt. Satter Sound, klar identifizierbare Frequenzen und die nötige Power für reichlich Lautstärke. Die Boxen haben entsprechend ihrer Power ein ordentliches Gewicht und überfordern die einfachen Stative von Millenium, die ich dazu gekauft habe - mit einer zusätzlichen Beschwerung auf den Sockeln der Stative steht die Konstruktion aber stabil.

Anmerkung: ich bin Berufsmusiker und kein Ton-Ingenieur, produziere also nicht im High-End-Bereich. Für anspruchsvolle Sounddesigns und Musikproduktionen reichen die Dinger meiner Meinung nach komplett aus! Wer mit Neumann-Mikros aufnimmt, perfekten Studio-Sound sucht und feinste Nuancen hören muss, braucht vielleicht was besseres. Für die meisten Nutzer und Kunden in diesem Preissegment sind die Presonus Eris E8 XT aber meiner Meinung nach die beste Wahl.
