Having played plastic recorders for many years, this Moeck was my first wooden instrument. Being wood of course it has more characters than plastic, the time to play in, and clogging when performing being the two most obvbious downsides. But the lovely full sound does compensate! The finish is good, and the impregnated wood reduces the maintenance you'd otherwise expect with a wooden instrument.
