Very useful signal tester. When you have a kit of XLR-adapters available, you can test basically any sound gear.

Only small bad thing is that PSU option would be nice, when you don't have a spare 9v battery available.

Also I have to note that this isn't a precise instrument, when controlling a 20Hz - 20kHz range with a single pot. If you need that precision, look elsewhere.

Great little gadget.

Test all your speakers/ horns "full range" and even amps/desks/cables/etc, this little thing even helps setting up sound at gigs.

Mine had problems when it arrived, didn't work at all, the screws holding the belt clip were too long, pushing against the circuit board inside, earthing the signal, I just guessed this and removed the screws, hey presto!

I found a faulty horn in one of my PA speakers simply by plugging in and listening, BUT DO BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR EARS, one watt is enough to blow your ears as you listen closely or even not so closely, please be careful.

There's far more expensive ones but why pay more.

Very Handy Tool For The Sound Kit

I bought this to add to my tools in my sound kit, I was hesitant to purchase because of the price but I decided to bite the bullet and I am glad I did it's been incredibly helpful when troubleshooting a sound system or repairing speakers if you aren't near a desk.

Very happy would recommend.

Handy, particularly for speaker testing

As the output level and frequency are uncalibrated this is not for precision testing. It is however a handy tone source for continuity testing, and the loudspeaker output is useful for confidence testing of driver and crossover testing in multi way systems.
