OK for light use, but not so good for intense rubbing
I bought these for use on a gong. The three sizes make for some unusual sounds. Very smooth and resonating with little 'chatter' from bouncing while rubbing. The low score is due to the fact that the middle sized mallet came apart. The ball came off the stick and I couldn't use it any longer. I could have put glue in it I guess, but more so enjoyed the smaller and larger mallets. There is medium flex in the handle and this gave a good pressure to the ball against the gong. Would probably look for something else if I were to be interested.

i use these mainly on gongs and drum heads. the bigger ones a quite sturdy, but i have accidentally launched the rubber heads of the smaller ones into the audience twice now while trying to give a high pitched accent on a gong (i mean the heads tend to come off - i even had this with a new set). if you plan on using them live, make sure you have a spare set in case one decides to bounce off into the distance all by itself.

Rubber mallets
Really cool idea and really great sound on the gong. The soundlevel they produce is very low but for studio use it´s working. Tried to use them live but there was no way it could be heard. One day one of the balls fell of it´s stick, and a few days after that antother ball fell off.
So great for studio use, great sound(really different with the three different mallets) but poor build quality.

Super rub set
One of the balls feel off I have since glued it back on, The appear to have scratched the surface on my new Paiste gong, this dissapointed me, They however make a fantastic addition to my the sounds of my Gong
