For the price, excellent performance

This little gem is great for quick and random recordings with a smartphone. Used it for recording video lectures where the whole kit consists of LG G4 phone, desk tripod and the iRig Lav. Sure, you get more noise than with a field recorder and higher end mics, but for this price and for something you can carry around all the time it's really good! Comes in a nice pouch as well. Negatives? The connector box and switch for headphones is flimsy.

Perfect price/quality ratio

I've bought this as an additional option to my wireless system for recording interviews and short presentations. I'm finding myself reaching out for iRig Mic Lav more often than I would expect. Very good audio quality ad easy to use when paired with my Android cell phone. Highly recommended.

Ich habe nach einem preiswerten Interview-Mic gesucht, das ohne Probleme an ein iOS- und/oder MacOS-Gerät angeschlossen werden kann. Ziel war eine deutliche Klangverbesserung gegenüber den jeweils internen Mikrofonen.

pro:
- für das Geld wirklich anständiger Klang beim skizzierten Nutzungsszenario, völlig ausreichend für zB Fernsehton in einer Doku
- gute Ausstattung mit Popschutz, kleinem Etui und ausreichend langer Zuleitung
- unkomplizierter Betrieb, da ohne Phantomspeisung; quasi plug & record mit allen Apps, die aufs Mikro zugreifen (Sprachnotizen, Kamera, etc.)
- Buchse für zweites Mikro vorhanden (wahlweise schaltbar auch als Kopfhörer-Ausgang, dieser ist jedoch nur für die Wiedergabe geeignet und bietet kein "tape return" Monitoring, außer vielleicht eine App kann das)

contra:
- recht empfindlich für GSM-Interferenzen an einem iPhone 5, es muss im Flugzeugmodus betrieben werden, um keinen "buzz" auf der Aufnahme zu haben

Fazit: Gesangsaufnahmen sind nun eher nicht das Metier des Lav, für den Einsatz in Interviewsituationen, bei dem mit einem iOS-Gerät gefilmt wird, ist das Mic aber ideal für das Budget.

Ce micro sonne plutôt bien, assez dynamique, il restitue la voix d'une façon qui me semble naturelle. Avec sa pince à ouverture ample il est facile à positionner.
Toutefois, il faut savoir que pour s'en servir, vous aurez besoin d'utiliser une appli spécifique. Si vous pensiez branche le micro sur votre carte son externe et enregistrer avec votre DAW habituel, oubliez !
L'appli est gratuite. Mais très basique. Si vous voulez des fonctions supplémentaires, il faudra rouvrir le portefeuille !
Enfin, le petit bout de plastique qui permet de clipser le micro à la pince a cassé au premier rangement. Je ne l'ai pas renvoyé en SAV car vu la qualité du plastique, il m’apparaît certain que ça casserait à nouveau. Fort heureusement, il est possible de mettre le micro dans le creux de la pince, sans que cela nuise au son ou à la stabilité.

Je ne dirai pas que je regrette mon achat, mais ce n'est pas exactement ce que je voulais. Du coup j'enregistre via mon Iphone, puis je récupère le fichier son via Itunes et ensuite je peux le retravailler sous Reaper.
Je le conseille plutôt à celles et ceux qui en auront un usage sur appareils mobiles. Pour du home studio, ça fonctionne mais on doit pouvoir trouver mieux.
