I have several guitars so, changing strings is a costly thing. I used to buy D'addario strings for all my guitars before. But when I realised I don't need to spend so much just to practise, and after a trusted friend suggested them strongly, I decided to give Harley Benton strings a try. Now, to be honest, I still prefer the D'addarios for gigs and recording but my everyday practise guitars all have Harley Bentons strings on them. I developed a liking towards them the more I played with them. So, I started to include a couple set in my gig bag. Sound is totally a matter of taste and tastes change by time. This is the case with me and Harley Benton strings... First hesitant to try, then just for practise purposes, now in my gig bag and who knows, next they might end up being included for recording.
I strongly recommend them to every guitar player. Save up some money by using Harley Benton strings so you can buy a new Harley Benton guitar ;)
