Very clear bass sound

Good presence, very clear and bright, yet with good bass punch. That's comparing it to the originals that came with a bass build kit.

Great replacement pickups for a modern P-Bass sound

As my title says, this pickup will not satisfy bass players who love that famous P-Bass sound of the 60's. Therefore there are many other replacement Pickups being offered.

First I chose the EMG because I had big problems with the Delano pickup in my bass (with the big Alnico poles) as I often touch the pickup while playing. So I thought that the design of EMG pickups could eliminate that humming which in fact it does perfectly.

To the sound: I love the modern sound, so it is not the vintage mid-sound but this pickup has clear heigths and great emphasized lows without sounding undifferentiated.

As I said, you have to love the modern sound. Otherwise, pickups like the well known Fender Vintage pickup will be the better option for your needs.

Grand fan des micros EMG, je ne suis pas déçu par ce split P. Je préfère généralement les versions actives, mais si on veut la qualité EMG sans devoir ajouter une pile, la gamme HZ est la. A mon sens EMG offre le meilleur compromis entre le son original d'un P Fender (ou J), et l'avantage du Noiseless, le tout avec un spectre très large qui est, pour moi, le meilleur son pour l'enregistrement direct.

this is the first passive Emg pickup which i use, they are really great and the solderless system is fantastic, 5 minutes for the pickup swap!
