My new favourite picks

I've been using various pickups from 0.71 mm to 1.5 mm, but always returning to 0.88 mm or 0.96 mm, as that feels comfortable thickness to me.

These Flow pickups are way more rigid than the 0.88 mm green Gator and Tortex pickups that I used for years, and the rough surface gives a very good grip. Those features allows me to hold the pick a bit more lightly, and expose the pick less, giving me more precise picking control.

The only downside is that as the grip is very good, it's not easy to correct the pick orientation if it accidentally rotates while playing, without stopping for a moment. That doesn't happen often, though.

Excellent pic

I really like the sharp point on on this pic, it feels very accurate and allows for nice articulation. I haven't noticed any wear yet but haven't used it for very long, so can't say much for the durability, other than it seems decent. Very good grip, I can't imagine it ever slipping. Would definitely recommend. The only potential negative is the feel of the pic, as with the extra grip it leaves the pic pretty rough though still comfortable in your fingers.

great pick, i like the thinner ones at the moment. you can still shred but they offer a little flexibility and the ultex wears harder. good work from jim, RIP!
