The Celestion company has its speakers in so many amps and speaker systems that a long introduction is quite unnecessary.

And it is the same story for the G12 Greenback, a real classic among guitar speakers. Innumerable recordings have been made with these speakers (usually with one or several 4 x 12" speakers). Punchy, but warm highs and mid-range notes and with a rather reserved bass range, the latter of which can be advantageous in 4 x 12" speaker systems.

Vahvistinmallinnuksiin eloa

Softasta vahvistinmallinnukset voi olla vähän epämääräisen kuuloisia studiomonitoreista, mutta jos syötän mallinnukset pääteasteen kautta tähän kajariin, niin se vetää vertoja jopa putkikombooni. Pitää vielä koettaa muilla vahvistimilla, mutta tähän mennessä olen kyllä erittäin tyytyväinen saundiin.

Amazing Speaker! This has made my 1x12 a favourite...

I have a Blackstar HT5 I use for practice and rehearsals, I bought it with it's matching 1x12 cab, which uses a Blackstar branded speaker inside as standard. However I never really enjoyed the sound the amp gave me in this configuration and after playing through a Marshall Greenback cab I knew I needed some Greenback love in my life, so I chose to replace the crappy speaker in my Blackstar cab with this one. And since then I've never looked back.

This speaker has a lovely warm low end I enjoy, and even though I play metal, which you could say is very atypical of the typical user of this speaker, I actually have found it to be very capable of giving a nice tight metal tone, but still having that low end thump I love, which you get from Greenbacks. It's very hard to describe but after listening to many YouTube comparisons I felt this was the sound I wanted, I suggest you do the same as tone is very subjective after all.

Although I must stress that this is a very low wattage speaker, at 25w you will need to be careful what amp you hook up to it, also this means there's little clean headroom before you get speaker breakup, even my 5w Blackstar achieves this where it's original speaker was quite rigid in sound.

I have fallen in love with this speaker's sound and even though I play cranked a lot of the time I have had no issues with the speaker at all, and I've had it in that cab many months now. But then it is a Celestion and they are pure quality.

Great service from Thomann once again, and a great price too.

Brilliant is the only description I can give to this speaker. I needed a suitable speaker for my JTM45, so this was the obvious choice although I had considered the G12H also as it had a little more power. I was never quite happy with the speakers I had, they didn?t pair up well with the JTM45, somehow, no sparkle a bit bland sounding too much volume and poor tone. Within minutes of installing the G12M in the cab I knew it was the right speaker for this amp. Hendrix in spades, sparkly cleans with a small amount of break up, in fact just the right sound for any late sixties early seventies music. You can spend a lot of time and money looking for the right speaker, I will never look back, I?m glad I bought this one but obviously will have to buy another three to compliment it.

A true classic !

Not much to say except this is THE most iconic guitar speaker since the 60s. Chewy, Woody, Crunchy, an excellent sounding speaker, it is here to stay forever and ever.
