Not what I was expecting

It’s impossible to play without stops in the sound. I thought I would get continuous rain sound by moving the stick but it sounds like the pebbles inside gets stucked and the sound stops. The stuff inside is either moving way too fast to the other end, or it gets stucked. Anyway the sound is not great for rain stick and I will probably never use this instrument

super nice rain maker

well made for an affordable price, beautiful sound. Long enough to make a rain effect but short enough to be played with one hand (holding it in the middle) so you can play another instrument at the same time.

Looks and Sounds great!

I bought this recently for recording additional percussion onto existing electronic productions. The Rainmaker feels incredibly well built and has given me a huge variety of different sounds for my productions. I've found the sound to be sweet and light, producing very realistic rain noises. I've also used it as a heavy shaker, which I really like the sound of too. The sustain is good, but certainly could be longer. I've tried to draw out the "rain" sound for more than 10 seconds but to no avail! However, given the price, I am very happy with my purchase! It also looks incredibly authentic and has a lovely wooden finish that feels great to play.
