Täydellinen hankinta virrantarpeisiin. Itse hommasin tämän "Glorious Workbench" -studiopöydän kanssa jotta saan kaikki tarvittavat virrat läheltä ja kiinnitettyä 19" räkkiin kiinni. Tarkoitus on myös ostaa samanlainen (vähemmillä paikoilla) bassonuppini räkkiin, jotta jatkossa saisi kaikki virrat helposti suoraan nupin räkistä.

Inexpensive but very useful

Not the sexiest piece of kit you'll ever buy, sure; but sexy kit requires AC power, which this little unit provides. Note that it's not a power conditioner (though Adam Hall also sell those, and I have several) so much as ? basically ? an ordinary socket strip in a rackmount format. There are eight sockets on the front and eight on the back, and both sets are separately switchable from two front-mounted switches. Very handy for having permanent kit connected to the back and "guest" units passing through your studio (or even the vacuum cleaner...) connected to the front. Solidly built and reasonably priced.

I use this power strip in my studio rack and it is a very welcome addition combined with a Brennenstuhl "6-way socket device".
Everything, computer, soundcard etc., is hooked up to the rear outlets & then my monitors and controllers are hooked up to the Brennenstuhl for easy and separate power on/off.

The front outlets are used for temporary gadgets like guitarpedals, tube mic PSU etc.

However the switch for the rear outlets started acting up after about 1-2 weeks, which is why I only gave it 4 stars for quality - Thomann were VERY quick to replace it with a new one, love you guys!

The new one has worked without any problems at all - which is what I expect from anything Adam Hall.

I bought the Adam Hall 1U power strip so I could avoid having a mass of cables and power adapters laying on the floor behind my rack next to my desk. Now these are all conveniently located in the bottom part of my rack. Being only 1 height unit tall, the power strip doesn't take up too much room in the rack. It has eight power outlets on each side for a total of sixteen outlets, providing enough room to connect most of my gear. Having one power switch for each side is quite practical. However, the overvoltage protection switches are located at the back of the unit, requiring access from behind or removal from the rack to push them (fortunately I haven't had to do that yet...); this would be my only minor complaint.
