Tama HP910LWLN Speedcobra Double

Vengo de tener un Pearl de gama baja-media durante como 15 años y, aunque me ha hecho un gran servicio y es un pedal super sólido, el cambio con el Speed Cobra ha sido como cambiar de un Seat Ibiza a un Ferrari.

El caso es que no vas a empezar a tocar más rápido solo ponerlo en la batería. El pedal está hecho para que puedas aprender a ser más rápido sin la resistencia que generan las distintas piezas y mecanismos que se activan cuando pisas y cuando sueltas el pedal. Todo está hecho de tal forma que te ayuda a ahorrar muchos esfuerzos que notarás cuando lleves tocando un buen rato temas que requieran mucho bombo.

Aparte, detalles como la caja dura para transportarlo, el Cobra Coil para devolver el pedal a su sitio más rápido, el Swivel Spring para evitar fricción en la base del muelle, el Speedo Ring para suavizar movimientos y para desmontar el pedal mucho más fácil y los longboards para los que quieren probar otras técnicas o los que tienen los pies grandes, son todos una maravilla. El pedal está construido de una forma impecable. Es un Iron Cobra, pero suave como la seda; lo cual puede hacer que tengas que tensar más el muelle si necesitas un poquito más de feel.

i have had my eyes on speed cobras for quite a long time now and they are truly amazing.

they are ridiculously smooth,they are multiple points on which you are able to modify and them points are pretty much all you need.

straight out the box they feel amazing even with 5 mins of playing with settings they can feel even more amazing the more time you spend the better they get better i even felt like my playing improved slightly.


pros... incredibly smooth bearings, springs feel great, there is next to no wiggle on the foot bored. pedals comes in a hard case well designed and the pedals use hex head screws as well as lugs and the drum key has the lug key and hex head key, the slave pedal has a holder that holds the key really securely

cons with the pedals...the springs make a weird rattly sound time to time and being a lefty pedal as all brands seem to do this though, is they use the same slave drive shaft as the right hand pedals leaving a clamping lug in a awkward place to get to.

the case is a great case but it can be awkward to carry also doesn't have a strap for it makes it bit more of a pain

apart from the few small bits the pedals are perfect could not ask for more incredibly well built, smooth i really would recommend these

Ausgangssituation:
Ich habe die letzten 4 Jahre eine Demon Drive (Linksfußvariante) genutzt und hatte dort bereits schon nach wenigen Wochen das Problem dass sämliche Kugellager anfingen Spiel zu entwickeln. Auch nach Rücksendung und Reparatur bei Pearl (was ohne große Probleme über Thomann möglich war) passierte das nach einige Wochen wieder. Letztlich hatte ich mich dann damit abgefunden, war aber immer unzufrieden mit dem Pedal und den diversen Lagerungen. Irgenwann hat es mir dann gereicht und ich entschloss mich den Speedcobras mal einen Versuch zu geben.
Review:
Das Pedal macht einen hervorragenden Eindruck. Es wird in einem Plastikkoffer geliefert, der zwar verhältnismäßig sehr unhandlich ist, aber seinen Zweck erfüllt und in jedem Fall besser als eine Tasche ist (wichtig: man kann sich sogar draufsetzen, falls man mal vor dem Proberaum warten muss ;-D ). Die Verarbeitung ist super, es gibt keine Stellen an denen irgendetwas klappert oder spiel hat. Die Standardbeater sind gewöhnungsbedürftig aber das ist ja persönlicher Geschmack. Die Trittplatte ist fantastisch lang, das war auf den Bildern nicht unbedingt für mich ersichtlich, mindestens gleichlang wie die Demon Drive als Longboardvariante. Alle Verbindungen wo es möglich ist sind kugelgelagert und spielfrei.
Einziges Manko wäre für mich die Bassdrumklemme, die nicht genau Mittig des Pedals sitzt.

Absolute Klasse, ich bin mit dem Kauf mehr als zufrieden.
