Stentor SR1884 Violin Arcadia Antik

The violin has an amazing warm and full tone but still has that Sparkling sound that I want in a violin. It looks very beautiful with the varnish not to shiny, I think is also the varnish that makes the tone so much warmer then you hear on other violins. The violin has Pirastro strings on it. It would have been nice if the description tells what type they are, and I am wondering if the violin will sound better if I put Thomastik strings on it. But for now I do not feel the need to replace the strings. The sound is beautiful as it is now. I have the feeling that I have a professional violin with this one and I think I won't have to upgrade for years.

This violin is easy to play and the strings is very soft to press. Vibrato become easy at first positon. Espcially, the sound is very clean even if at highest positions. The tone is not easy to be reviewed for I did not change the strings yet. I only can say the sound is not sweet. I am not sure whether the sound will get sweet when using better strings. But I am very satisfied with this violin at this price.

J'ai 2 ans de pratique assidue de violon, j'ai joué sur l'instrument qu'un ami m'a prêté, un violon d'étude (~300€) mais ajusté par un luthier, un Mirecourt XXe (~1200€), et celui est de loin mon préféré.

Je l'ai choisi sur base des échantillons du site. Il est tout aussi chaud et développé qu'attendu. Il est assez confortable au jeu, les chevilles sont d'une précision radicale (accordage beaucoup trop facile :p), le nervis chez moi est un peu plus clair qu'espéré, mais il garde quand même son teint sombre caractéristique.

Ce qui m'a le plus ému, en particulier, c'est l'aisance avec laquelle les différentes cordes rentrent en sympathie, ce qui m'aide à mieux projeter, mais aussi à parfaire mon intonation étant encore plutôt du côté débutant.

Je serais curieux de le comparer à d'autres violon plus hauts en gamme, mais celui-ci est déjà au-dessus de toutes mes attentes pour un prix bien plus bas que ce que j'imaginais devoir sortir pour ce genre de prestation.

J'ai 10+ commandes avec Thomann et je n'ai jamais eu de soucis de livraison, ça n'a pas changé cette fois-ci. Rapide et sûr.
