I always used typical ligatures until I tried this one. Depending on your mouthpiece and reed selection, you'll be able to find a combination with this ligature that suits your personal sound. I also found that it makes articulation easier and with a wider range than with a standard ligature. Plus, it is fun to change the settings every now and then. The only con is that when not in use, you need to store the metal plates (comes with 2) in a safe place.
