Good, but!

The stand is good but;
I think a key of some kind should be included to tighten the wing nuts. I do not feel it is secure enough only hand tight, so I had to find a spanner (which is bulky to carry around).
I was disappointed to find no hooks on the lower bar on which to hand a second gong as I was told by Paiste that the stand would take two gongs.
Thomann were good in sending replacement wheels when I told them one wheel did not have a nut and washer which meant I could not attach the four wheels.

My gong stand & gong arrive on time, packed extremely well & completely undamaged. When I got the package in the house & unpacked it I wasn't sure about the stand at first, but after setting it up, which too about 10-15 mins I was like Yeh this stand is solid. The true test was when I put the 32" paiste gong on it & began striking it. This 32" gong stand is very stable & I am well impressed with it. This is not a flimsy stand & it's well worth the £199.99 I paid for it. It assists the gong well to resonate as it should do. I very highly recommend this stand, as well as the 32" paiste gong I bought with it. Thomann came through for me & they are a trustworthy company to purchase from, no doubt. Please check their products out.

POSITIV:

- Der Ständer ist stabil und robust und mit seinen 14kg Gewicht auch ausreichend schwer.
- Durch die mattschwarze Optik tritt er auf den meisten Bühnen und vor dunklen Hintergründen dezent in den Hintergrund.
- Die Montage und Demontage geht schnell und einfach (der Ständer wird ohne Aufbauanleitung geliefert).
- Für den Transport benötigt man wenig Platz, z.B. in einem Case.
- Unterschiedliche Einstellungshöhen sind möglich.

NEGATIV:

- Die lackierte Oberfläche kann man sehr leicht zerkratzen und abstoßen.
- Die Schrauben greifen nie wirklich fest, man benötigt große Kraft, wobei die Schrauben auch sofort Kratzspuren auf dem Lack hinterlassen.
- Bei starken Gongschlägen kann es leicht vorkomman, dass die ein oder andere Schraube mitvibriert.

Zweckmäßig, platzsparend, stabil

Sehr praktisch, steht stabil, lässt sich schön klein zusammenlegen und ohne große Mühe und ohne Werkzeuge wieder aufstellen. Ich benutze ihn mit einem 80 cm Chau Gong ("Tam-Tam"). Aussehen des Ständers einfach und zweckmäßig; macht dem Gong auf einer Bühne optisch keine Konkurrenz. - Die Höhe lässt sich stufenlos variieren, auch einseitig, etwa wenn er mit einem Fuß auf einer Stufe stehen muss (wie zum Beispiel in meiner Schallschutzzelle). Einen Schlägel kann man an einem Haken aufhängen, einen zweiten an einer der Flügelschrauben. Weitere Geräte (Gongreiber u.s.w.) muss man sich anderswie zurechtlegen. Der Gong ist an zwei Haken aufgehängt, so dass er bei rasch wiederholten Schlägen nicht anfängt, um eine senkrechte Achse zu schwingen. - Sehr zufrieden, würde den gleichen Ständer wieder kaufen.
