MI-SI Acoustic Trio/Vio

Very easy to install. Looks slim enough on the violin body and doesn't add too much weight to the instrument, in my opinion.

Sounds good, actually very good for a piezo style pickup - strong signal in the whole frequency range, bass to treble. So far I've tried it through a DI box,not straight into the mixer. Have gigged with it without feedback issues, though in a smaller venue.

A tiny piece of the wooden piezo blade broke off when installing, it's very delicate - something to keep in mind when handling it.

This pickup is perfect if you, like myself, need to trade some of the sound quality of a mic for the easy use and functionality of a pickup. With this pickup you get an okay trade off.


Edit: After using this for a month it suddenly stopped working. Don't know why, but I'm sending it back to Thomann and hope for a new one or a repair because I really liked it while it was working...
