Excelente psalterio (casi una niquelarpa)

Si no fuera porque lo recibí con unas pequeñas muescas y/o arañazos..., sería de mi total agrado este bellísimo instrumento. Tal vez sea un poco pesado pero el instrumento es sólido y el sonido es muy grato y viene pertrechado con todo: arco, resina y llave para afinar. Con un pequeño afinador de micrófono, se afina perfectamente.
Me falta por comprobar si el lacado de las llaves es duradero y no se salta o se oxida a la primera de cambio.
La funda está muy bien e incluye -oh, sorpersa- un pequeño bolsillo interior para guardar los adminículos de mantenimiento que se cierra con belcro
Termino con una observación: la roseta del instrumento no es la misma que el de la foto. En la fotografía viene tallada en la madera; en el que distrubuyen, es de plástico. No obstante es bonita y elegante.
Es de fácil de tocar o eso me ha parecido a mí.

Es un buen instrumento. El precio se corresponde bastante bien con la calidad y acabados del instrumento.
Es una buena compra.

A very good instrument for the money

I don't have much experience with psalteries, but for the money, this has a decent tone and playability is good. Tuning is pretty finicky at first, but after a few rounds it holds well.

The top F string doesn't resonate very well, but all others are fine, and otherwise I really have no complaints. It's solidly built, the surface is smooth, the finish is consistent, and the sound is very listenable. This is certainly a great instrument to learn on and also seems worthy of recording or playing in a group setting. The bow has frayed a bit and I managed to break a string already (tuned too high by mistake), but neither is a major issue. The supplied rosin works fine as well.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase - no regrets.

Easy and dreamy instrument

For those who love the sound of violin, but who don't dare playing, the psaltery is made for you!

It is like a 30-strings violin, where each string is tuned differently. You don't have to use your left hand like on a violin to press on the strings with your fingers to determine the pitch of a tune (and those who tried playing violin know that, a few millimeter too far or too close from you, you're out of pitch).

Here, all you have to do is brush your bow at the end of the string to get the corresponding tune.

In addition, it has a soft, Celtic-like sound, with a dreamy reverb. And it is beautiful looking, with a great quality.

If you have some knowledge in piano, it should take you less than 10 minutes to start comfortably playing on it. I have actually 35 different instruments. The psaltery is one of the easiest. I perform live every Sunday with this instrument. To those who come and ask questions about it, after explaining them its origin and how to play, I invite them to try on their own. Most people initially refuse because they've never played any instrument. But I tend to insist, ans after a few seconds trying, and realising that they can actually get beautiful sounds from it, I see their smile and the stars in their eyes. :'-)

Conclusion : wether you are an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, or a total beginner, I really really REALLY recommend you this instrument. :-)
