It is an excellent product.
Sound and design are amazing.
You can start with a nice traditional chorus sound by using the shape,depth and rate knobs. Then with the dimension, animate and intensity knobs you can add a more wild, intense and psychedelic atmosphere to your sound.
It is quite easy to use.
It works very good in combination with other effects (for example I use it together with a modulated filter, a synth and a reverb).
I think it can be suitable for a lot of instruments (I use it with the bass and it sounds great!)
I bought it a few weeks ago and it is already one of my favourite pedals.

Great pedal

Modulation for those who don’t really like modulation, that’s my impression of this pedal. It’s tasty and musical, really sets itself apart from the cheesy rest. And the built-in delay that creates a sense of 3D to the point of self-oscillating, is a game changer. Super cool.

Ein ganz besonderes Choruspedal

Bei der Sea Machine handelt es sich ja im Allgemeinen um ein Choruspedal. Allerdings bietet es, wie die meisten EQD Effekte, nicht nur den normalen Chorussound, sondern weitere abgedrehte Möglichkeiten. Man kann das Pedal für die geläufigsten Standard Chorussound nutzen, aber auch speziellere Sounds erzeugen. Es besteht die Möglichkeit mit Hilfe des Dimension Reglers auf den Chorus zusätzlich eine Art Hall oder Delay zu legen, je nachdem, wie weit man dreht. Mit Shape bringt man den Ton in sich zum Eiern, hier wird das Signal je nach Stellung in einen Sinus, ein Dreieck oder Rechteck gewandelt. Rate ist für die Chorusgeschwindigkeit zuständig , welche zusätzlich mit der grünen LED angezeigt wird. Depth steht für das Abfallen/Tal des Chorussignals und mit Intensity regelt man die Lautstärke. Animate funktioniert wie ein Pitchshifter und verändert die Tonhöhe. Dabei kommen sehr verrückte Sounds zustande. Ich nutze die Sea Machine als normalen Chorus und wenn ich in die Ambientwelt abdrifte, nutze ich sehr viel die Animate und Shape Funktion. Dabei kommen sehr krasse Sounds raus, welche ich so noch nie gehört oder realisiert habe. Das Design und die Verarbeitung des Pedals sind vorbildlich, wie immer bei EQD. Der Preis ist angemessen, wenn man bedenkt, welche Möglichkeiten das Pedal bietet. Wer Lust auf mehr als nur ein übliches Choruspedal hat, dem empfehle ich die Sea Machine von EQD.

A pedal with a lot of expression

If you want a modulation pedal with a lot of expression and features to tweak - this is it. If you want a pedal, easy to use, with good old classic chorus - choose another, simpler one. Never thought I would complain about the led on a pedal, but when I switch the effect on - the (flash)light is too strong for a pedal.
