I have the Xilica built into an amp rack together and wired into a wireless router. This means I can connect using my laptop and control the sound from the whole hall. The unit is quite expensive for one box, but the amount of functionality that is packed in makes it more than worth it.
Overall I'm very happy and would go for exactly the same again, but there are 2 things I would change:
- The power switch only needs the slightest touch to flick to "off". This means in a rack packed with cables that gets moved about you can sometimes arrive on site and find it not working until you put your hand down the back
- It is not especially deep. This is great if you have lots of rack space and it is easily accessible. If it is in a rack with an amp or two that come back 40 - 45cm it can be very difficult to access the rear panel.
My unit had a distortion noise on 2 of the output channels when it arrived, but after shipping it back to Thomann it was repaired under warranty and has been working perfectly ever since.
