I bought this together with the tenor recorder from Thomann. For someone with small hands like me this is much more relaxed to play on, even though I do have to use a pipers grip to be able to play somewhat comfortably (yes, my hands are very small).
The timbre is really nice, I'm able to play in tune with other instruments easily and it was very easy to record even with a cheap microphone (Samson Go Mic). It starts with an F, I believe, and the range is quite limited compared to say double chambered ocarinas.
Unless you're a child or otherwise have very small hands, I would recommend this over soprano or piccolo recorders. If you do have very small hands, consider getting a smaller recorder or perhaps even an ocarina.
The mellowness is much more pleasant to listen to, especially if you add some reverb or play in an environment with natural reverb.
It's made of plastic, but looks good in my opinion. It comes in three parts in a bag with a fingering chart.
In my opinon, the price is very fair and it's definitely worth trying this recorder even if you are a bit unsure if it will fit you.
