Schott Der Neue Weg Zum Keyboard 5
Keyboard Coursebook Volume 5
The "Neuer Weg" (New Way) is for all people who want to successfully learn to play the keyboard in methodically thought-out lessons based on popular songs and useful tips through teaching or self-study: For beginners of all ages, but also for wind players, singers or guitarists who want to become musical "insiders" and who are looking for an introduction to improvisation, composition, harmony etc. via keyboard playing. Particularly on the keyboard, with its clear, regular structure of the keyboard, scales, chords and harmonious connections can be shown more clearly and systematically than on any other instrument. Musicians with prior knowledge can start with volume 2 or 3.
New keys and chords, learned along with popular pieces of music, maintain the motivation for further learning. Training in the areas of improvisation and composition is continued, including the simple song form. Keeping two hands independent of each other is one of the main goals of this volume. A keyboard player cannot just limit him/herself to playing with an accompaniment. Some knowledge of the most popular music styles in pop and jazz music is important, and this is taught here. Harmonies and how the keyboardist plays them - rich chords that can no longer be reproduced through automatisms - are the focus. The basics of arranging are addressed as well as the improvisation in blues and jazz-rock.
